Do People Ask You Are A Satanist? Because u are Goth?
The Other Day i was walking in the mall with some of my frineds and this Couple they look to be about 27 or 28....asked me if i was a Satan Worshipper...i said So you think jus because i wear black i worshippe satan...they said well most satanist do...i said well if im a satanist for wearing black then so are 90% of all Priest...they said well thats diff..i said no it aint they wear black...then i said Fuck off...and they walked on...How do Fell about this?...and Has it happend to you as Well if so...plz share your story...maybe ur stroy can help someone know wat to do if They git asked that question.

Huh... funny, the one Satanist I know doesn't always wear black... she can also spell properly.

I don't really. I listen to goth music of all kinds, and I dress that way. But I tend to associate my dress more with visual kei than with goth.

I don't consider myself gothic. When I was a younger teen (13-14) I started getting into different sorts of music ranging from crusty old school punk rock to Industrial, and sort of dressed in the goth style.
I don't label myself now, though. I've been depressed, so much that I tried to kill myself with a Tylenol overdose (10th grade, bad idea because it's a slow and painful death as your liver and kidneys shut down). I was lucky I got to the hospital only four hours after or I could have been seriously fucked.
I don't know why I even talk about this. I've decided suicide is stupid for my situation, and I'm going to die someday anyway so I might as well live as long as I can. Doesn't stop me from smoking though.

And that post wasn't a "simple question". You asked us to "share your story", and you did so by giving a jumbled account of a pathetic mall-"persecution" scene, littered with spelling errors so grave it looked like you wrote it with mittens on.
Next time, do fucking better. This is a board for literate people, some of whom have a low tolerance for lazy syntax. A message board is not a real-time medium, so frequent abbreviations and netspeak is totally unnecessary.

But, on topic - I've been called "witch" (by a little kid, it was kinda cute) "fag", "transvestite", but never a satanist. My best tip for such occasions would be to have a couple of quick smartass retorts on the ready, if you are able. Using the argument that priests also wear black does not qualify as smartass, as its logic is clearly flawed.
Anyway, I don't get comments like that anymore. I rarely wear spikes, make-up or any other stereotypically goth signifiers except for my shiny Doc Marten's. I go for the classically understated, vaguely militaristic early-80's post-punk style. Like, more Joy Division than Alien Sex Fiend.

First of All....the Reason i Type so Bad...is because...i type in a hurry...second of all...im not use to typeing i havent had a computer long and...not use to post boards...to tell you the truth....this is my first membership to a post board site...i came to make friends not enemies...you probally are older then me if so Good for you..if not oh well then...but dont go makeing fun of people you dont even know.

Why do you type in a hurry? If you don't have the time to post then you oughtn't. I know that sounds unkind, but its true. I am assuming you are human and therefore must use your wisdom to only participate in as many things as you have time to.
Also, don't take things so sensatively. They are trying to help you, really. No one takes a person who can't type seriously. Learning to type isn't that hard. You just need to practice correctly. Posting on a message can be that (if you type correctly, again). Or try transcribing your favorite lyrics...

You are new so I am not about to flame you, also because there is a another person on this board who doesn't just misspell, they commit every offense to the written word and they never get called on the carpet about it so why should you?
HOWEVER (and know that my spelling at times makes Webster flip around his coffin a few times a week) unless one's ass is on fire or they are typing at gunpoint, I do not see how lack of time plays an issue. I'd recommend that if you DO have something to add and would like to, and are short on time, that you maybe type it out but wait until you can come back and check it real quick before hitting 'Submit'.
