Heartless

Kingdom Hearts reference poem

Heartless

I gave my soul up to darkness
To save you from the light
I gave my heart to you
You crushed it
In the middle of that fight

We've argued
Over and over
You know he's not right for you
Just because he'll fight for you
Sell his soul to the light for you

Still
You pine away for him
Even though my love is all you'll ever need
My heart is that which feeds
Your heartless, heartless soul

I guess I'm just a nobody to you
As always

FFVI was the best. Hands down. The triumph of rational philosophy over existential nihilism (least, that's what I think it was about, given names like Locke and Kefka).

Poem is well constructed, but strive for a better finish. You scuffed it a touch, which makes it feel a little rough,
