I think only certain people can pull it off. Some people just look plain stupid wearing it.

Ok...look.The only way black lip stick looks good on ANYONE is if:
#1.You have big beautiful full lips.Medium sized wont even do.If you have skinny lips,TAKE THAT SHIT OFF!
#2.You have to have the right clothing.A blue/white/red/purple/ect. shirt is NOT BLACK LIP STICK WEARABLE!Pretty it has to be BLACK all over and not just"Oh..Im wearing black pants and a black Tshirt,Im good"Cause your not!Either wear fisnet,or PVC would be great. The rest is out.Oh...and if your wearing something tight on your legs/ass.TAKE THAT SHIT OFF!
#3.You have to have the look,Black hair,WHITE face, the whole 'model goth'look. If you have red hair/brown/ect.TAKE IT OFF!And blondes....DONT EVER EVEN FUCKING TOUCH IT!It looks bad.
Im just soo sick of you little fucks thinking your so cool with fucking jeans and a black 'hoodie'.You look like a dumb ass.
Oh,and#4.You have to be able to put it on.Fucked up lip stick of ANY kind is BAD...BAD BAD BAD!

i'm fond od make up,and work for one our band as a ahhhh(how do you call a make-up person in america?=)).anyways, from my kinda professional point of view mostly black lipstick looks bad, espacially without the gloss(like when people use the eyeliner instead of the special stuff). But it works well used with some other colour. As for me-i just love purple and iw i use the black lipstick first, then my purple looks deep and cool

I like my black hoodies and my jeans. XD Anyways, I can't put on lipstick at all. Although I did have black lipstick on while I was wearing relatively normal clothes for me in high school. That would be super funny to have a picture of. I think I already mentioned that before but it can be said again.

It looks good just on girls however. If it is on a guy, I am just thinkin that he tries to hard. It doesn't look good on me when I put it on sooo dark so i just stick with a little less than the average goth.

Well, with certan outfits and a bit of crimson perhaps you could pull it off. It all depends on a lot of things.

this is probably gonna piss people off but i dont care.
i think it looks tacky, awful and just plain silly. (wait that needs an exclaimation mark or two) !!
its the kind of thing that 13-15year old kids wear when they are going thru a rebellious, fuck off the parents, "kinda goth" stage. no offence to the youngones out there.
i went throu that stage, but i grew up, dropped the black for blood red (much more seductive) and i stopped "trying to impress" everyone with how freaking "GOTHIC" i was.
god, i look a photos of myself when i was 12 and cringe.
black lipstick didn't make me goth, growing up did!
death to black lippy!!!!
RANT,RANT,RANT, RAVE,RAVE, RAVE.
i'm sent.

Haircuts/Hairstyles/Hair Color Mega thread would be a better place to ask.

Too gothic or not gothic enough? that sounds like a million dollar question. Even if I could answer that question, a million doesn't do any good if it's burned away in hellfire.

Can you tell me how your eyes turned green?
I want to know so mine can be a more obvious
electric blue.

It depends on who's wearing it. I seen a guy wearing black lipstick once and he looked cute. But then I seen a girl wear it and she looked kind of bad. So yeah, it depends

My skin does two colours: white and lobster. When I was younger I was always told to wear pink because I was blonde (is that actually real advice???), but found that darker lip colours just suited me better.
I've never worn black lipstick. My husband has - back in his band days, but I go for very dark reds and purples.
It was also useful when I was teaching because apparently it makes it easier for someone with hearing difficulties to make out what you're saying. Dunno how true that is.

Black lipstick is only HOT on the right person, along with the correct application!

Well...
I like it on certian people. I can pull it off, if you go for the "dead for a few weeks" look. If you're pale and don't have oddly shaped or chapped lips, it looks good. If you do have either of those, however, I'd just focus on the eyes rather than the lips. Oh, and if your teeth are any bit of yellow, it makes the yellow stand out much more than it usually would.

I have some Black lipstick, and i wear a thin layer of it so it looks abit 'Edward scissorhands' style, and it's not that bad a look!

I'm mixed race, so I have to be really choosy with lipstick. I usually go for a black outline filled with purple gloss, or black lipstick with a tiny bit of red gloss over it. My goth friends tell me I look good with it. My non-goth friends tell me I look like a a witch. I take that as a compliment most of the time.
