I love CoF...but only when Im in the mood for it.Most of it is sadistic and romantic.Dimmu Borgir....I love them..but there shit is angry and like "...fuck you Im a Satanist and you can suck my dick."

Don't you mean they're? And for such a short sentence there are numerous errors.

Actually, I'm not sure which one of them fits into your poorly constructed statement. It's not clear whether you're calling them or their lyrics brilliant.

Cradle of Filth rox

I like Cradle better than Dimmu. I think that Cradle has more sence in there lyrics and more meaning. Don't get me wrong I love Dimmu too!!!!

I like most of cradle of filths music where they borrow that female singer from wherever she's from, I really like the balance of growling, shrieking, and beautiful melodic singing. Nymphetamine is one of my favorite songs ever. Dimmu doesn't really do much for me, though admittedly I haven't heard much from them.

It's just something about them that I never liked..... I don't know why, but I seriously think that Dimmu and Cradle are the same thing.

Wow, that's sick..This is the first place I've seen that doesn't have 100 posts of flames about CoF, that they just pretend to be black metal...etc?

Anyway, CoF's better than Dimmu in my opinion - I never listen to either of them anymore though. :\

BURZUM! why has no one mentioned the paramount driving force in the early Norwegian scene! he is the gratest black metal force of all time. Nowdays anything (nearly- scrap sargeist) on moribund cult records, examples: Xasthur, Leviathan. and Shining.
Cradle, as i have mentioned somewhere else, are a embarassment to Black MEtal everywhere, and Dimmu do not release enough outstanding material to warrant attention.
For all Tid was exelent though. don't go in much for ths general smyphonic BM, i prefer the more avant-garde Arcturus style stuff. Garm (or trickster G or whaterver) is a God.

Ditto. I think Dimmu is just a great band, I'm currently in love with two of their songs, an oldie and a newie (Unorthodox Manifesto and Alt Lys Er Svunnet Hen), but I really don't mind CoF, ^_^, current favourite CoF song is Lord Abortion.

Nicolas is way more talented in Dimmu Borgir, but I still liked him best when he was in Cradle; he's much better than any other Cradle drummer. As for vocals, I dislike Dimmu's, but I can stand them. It was the same with Cradle, but I've gotten fond of Dani's in an odd sort of way. 'The Principle of Evil Made Flesh', and 'Dusk...And Her Embrace' are their best, in my opinion.

TPoEMF has some awesome vocals...I wish Dani would've kept them the same; he doesn't screech as much.

Both. They are both awesome in their own way. Cradle for Dani's insane voice range, and Dimmu for the driving ferocity behind Shagrath's roar.

CoF sucks live, Dimmu is ok live.

''I cant say I listen to much metal anymore, but as I am seeing Cradle in December, I vote for them.''

Good luck... They really suck live...

I'm curious about the remake of Dimmu's old album Stormblast, I hope they don't fuck up the piano parts...
