Sounds like a plan! Especially since two of the members come from Blighty ;-)
We just moved to the U.S of A :-P

I could talk to the promoters in KY and see if they might like to get you guys to come play at ConFuzion if you're going to be doing a US tour any time soon.

We have an album to finish up as well.

So where did the name DISCO HOSPITAL come from? Not very deathrock sounding. Not that it needs or has to be.

I know there is a rad looking electropunk/no wave night in Germany that goes by that name. Also I have an old comp album with a track on it by a group called DISCO HOSPITAL.

Just wondered where the name came from. I've been in some bands with some pretty awful names. The worst might have been BULLETS FOR PUSSY.

Hehe ;-) Well it was a kind if a joke, we did look into different names and for some reason Disco Hospital got stuck with us :-P

There is a song by Coil called "Disco Hospital". We weren't really looking for a "deathrock" name per sé to be honest, we all like different styles of music therefor our sound is quite eclectic, we don't even know how to classify it ourselves so we will let the music do the talking instead.

I've never been quite sure what DEATHROCK is. Always thought it was more of a state of mind than a music genre. Some genres are super specific, right down to the number of beats per minute and all the instruments used. Deathrock seems wide open, just look at the bands that get credited with starting the genre, they all seem to bring something different to the table.

I'd say you were a pop band. I like pop, most of the songs I write are pop songs.

That is true though :-)

I like the fact we can bring our own quirkiness to the table and come out with a song, wether is pop, metal, country western or hell knows :-P The point of it all is to have fun and enjoy while doing it :-)

Yo! Barb! Any plans to tour up in Northern Cali? I'd LOVE to see your new group. They sound good. I supported All Gone Dead, but the sound did kind of bore me after a short time. Hospital Disco seems to strike a better resonance with my tastes. I'd love to support H.D. So yeah. Nor*Cal? How about it?

Sounds like a good plan to us :-) We are based in Los Angeles! And we are definitely plnning to tour around once the album is finished.

And hey, it is Disco Hospital, not Hospital Disco, although I quite like the ring of it :-)

Thanks for the support!

Sorry. I have a touch of Dyslexia. (seriously. I'm not kidding.) I promise to get it right when I pass on the word to my friends.
