I'm bored and I can't sleep. There's nothing on tv either :/ I am in my sheet as per usual, and I have an itch in the middle of my back that I can't reach

I know you identify with it or have it as an aesthetic taste. But that wasn't directed at you, Viscus. You have... substance. You strike me as the type of guy who simply IS. Your own self may manifest with no need for clarification or statement, basically.
I too enjoy the musical genre of goth rock. It's my favorite. :-/

That isn't fishnet. But I will say that yes, it's sewn on.
Would you like to know how to do it? It's one of my favorite ways of decorating my clothes. Like that cobwebby effect it has.

Go to Walgreens. Get a pair of those super cheap 25 cent knee high stocking eggs.
Take out a stocking, I'll use a sleeve as an example for this, cool?
Take the stocking, cut the toe off or at least bust the toe seam.
Take a sleeve of a jacket or long sleeve shirt or something and put the stocking over top of it like you would a sock on your leg.
Now, once the stocking is on the sleeve, get some needle and thread, kinda stress out the stocking by stretching it over the whole sleeve. You want the stocking to be a bit smaller lengthwise with the sleeve. Take the thread and needle and stitch the stocking down on the sleeve at various points on the top and bottom of the sleeve.
Now, if the stocking was a little smaller than the sleeve, the sleeve should bunch up from the now sewn on stocking forcing it to adhere to the shape of the stocking. Get out a fork or serrated knife and GO TO TOWN ON THAT STOCKING. Slash it up as much as you can. Get it to run, make some holes, really distress the hell out of the stocking. Doing this should make the stocking stretch and form more to the sleeve instead of the sleeve forming to the stocking.
Once you have the desired amount of distress to the stocking on the sleeve, then you're good. It should look like a layer of spiderwebbing on your sleeve.
Now, to decorate a patch like that, all the same rules would apply except you might want to cut the stocking up into thin or somewhat thick strips to border the patch and slash up.
