I think paying for good company is more pathetic than paying for sex.
Then again, paying for sex seems rather practical to me.
It'd be nice if the US embraced androgyny, although first I think it'd have to know what that is >_>

I actually like being able to tell if someone is male or female. Since, you know, I'm straight, and it prevents embarrassing mistakes later.

Why would you be embarrassed? It wouldn't make you less straight to mistake a gender.

I was thinking more the kind of thing where you take them out a few times and THEN find out.
See, I'm thinking that it might take a while if both were androgynous, and, like me, not prone towards asking that kind of question.

I think that would be rather awesome, to go on a few dates with someone and not be able to determine their gender. Then again, I also like a fair bit of androgyny.
