inspired by MSI's incredible performance last night,i have decided to make a thread were people can tell their stories 'bout any live gigs they went to
(such as the time when their best mate jumped off the speakers into the mosh pit)or(when u wore punk rave clothing to an evanesence gig)

post the best and the worst bits of your experiance's of live music and brag long and loud about the cute boy/girl u went home with at the end off the night or the fact that u got the lead singer to sighn your trainer.(just please dont get snarky 'bout other people's choice in music)

ok this is my thresd after all so here goes:
best bits:
moshing to supercalafrajalisticexpealidociouse.

getting my tshirt sign'd by the entire band(msi if u r wondering)

being able to say that it was my best mate driving the crowd mental with her amazing drumming ( talent night at the ski lodge)

worst bits:

having beer poured over me twice(and it was crap beer)

allmost cracking my head open in the mosh pit(im still dealing with the headake)

twisting an ankle jumping from the same ski lodge balcony(although my friend did say it looked impressive ,if rather mental).

The worst experience was at NIN.

I was on a comedown...and I got dragged into the moshpit with all the bald violent men...and it was like...for fucks sake, here we go!

The cutest was when I went see Patrick Wolf and he started crying during one of his songs...and he played The Childcatcher...my favourite song by him ^_^!

Best gig ever was Marilyn Manson last time he played at Reading Festival...He's a great performer. Me and my mate are on one of the videos! wooh! and we were right at the front...epic times!

Best times:
Hearing Honour, by VNV. Venue was a club thats in the hold of a boat on the river.
Moshes at Skinny Puppy. And the support band, Otto. Hated Ottos music, but he had fights armed with a glowing knife against made up super villians that ran onto the stage. The best one being theBanana Sloth.

Worst ever, seeing Razorlight several years ago. They are somehow far far worse live than on CD...
Second worst, I can't actually remember where it was, but some guy punched me very hard in the side of the head (not in a mosh). Might have been Sum 41 actually

I don't really like gigs that much, and not many worthwhile bands come down here so I barely go to any.

The last good gig I went to was the Adicts, which would have been extremely enjoyable had my roommate's dog not decided to die unexpectedly the day before, leaving me a bit of a sad, teary mess. The pit was a festering pool of sagging mohawks and beer-soaked studded vests which I happily avoided, but the Adicts sure do know how to put on a good show. Monkey threw shitloads of stuff into the crowd (usually produced through some "magic trick" from his sparkly purple jacket): giant playing cards, streamers, his own clothing, etc. Definitely cheered me up, with excellent music, too.

Best- Dresden Dolls. I got a kiss on the cheek from Amanda Palmer and two hugs from Brian Viglione, as well as conversations with him.

Also I saw Tori Amos live, where my mother actually bought me alcoholic beverages. 'Twas absolutely divine.

Worst- Some local emo concert I got dragged to, where someone stole my jacket with my mp3 player in its pocket. -.-

I'd kill to see The Adicts again.
My friends from France pulled me into the front where everyone was going mental. It was rough, but it was really fun. My vest got a bit ripped but at least my hair stayed up.
It was the original line-up and they put on a great show. They arn't going to be old and boring anytime soon I don't think.

Guns 'n' Roses were also good, but I was very drunk :P

Oh shit, I forgot to mention the Cure. I saw them last year, and it really was one of the best shows I've ever been to.

Robert Smith hasn't lost it (though he has lost a few pounds, which was rather relieving).

best concert by far was Iron Maiden. They were really energetic and their songs will never get old. I would recommend that everyone see them at least once in their lifetimes.

Best Time:
London After Midnight concert. Enough said.

Worst Time:
MSI concert three years before the LAM concert. People were pushing and shoving to get their way up to the stage to see their precious Jimmy Urine and I was squashed and my friend ended up passing out because they cut off her air supply pushing their way up to the stage. And you know what, Jimmy Urine hadn't even come out yet. Another thing, I was touched inappropriately so many times. Oh yeah, Kill Hannah performed before MSI and they sucked. I doubt I'll ever again let my friend convince to go to an MSI concert again.

I don't give two shits how ungoth this is, but I still maintain that AFI at Reading Festival 03 was AMAZING.

Even though I was quite new to them then, I went to the signing tent and met them a few hours before the show, and actually didn't have a clue what any of them looked like before I went in. Needless to say I was a gibbering, drooling fool when I came out of the other end.

The atmosphere in the radio 1 tent was fantastic. No pushing and shoving, just really great. I don't recall what band were on before them, but I started out by the tent door, wormed my way to the edge of the first pit. Ran straight though the middle and barely touched anyone, ran through a second pit and again barely touched anyone ( I am not kidding ) . I then found myself about 3 rows off the barrier, dead centre. Best thing was all the people in front of me were not AFI fans, and left when the band before left the stage. So I just walked straight up to the barrier !!

That show was incredible. Mr Havok came down to the barrier as is his wont, and I had a hold of his hand all through Girls' not grey. And he smiled at me. I was dead.

I was a complete mess when I came out at the end, makeup gone, hair drenched, I was bruised from the really bony ( but cute ) guy next to me ( his elbows dug in , he did say sorry ) but it was very very worth it.

Worst gig - Fucking Pulp at Reading 02? one of them anyway. They are shit. I had no choice but to watch them as a band I was into at the time was on after them. Jarvis Cocker is an amusing man, but the band are shite and he dances like a headless chicken. Also, I had a MENTAL ginger American bint literally trying climb on my back, who thought it would be a marvellous idea to scream JAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS! at the top of her lungs RIGHT IN MY FUCKING EAR . Bitch, I soon elbowed her in the face.

I also nearly passed out in an Amen moshpit, but a nice man with bright red dreadlocks and about ten of his hefty mates managed to lift me out.

I've been to several amazing shows from Kiss concerts to local DIY punk shows. All of them were great for one reason or another.

Most memorable was when Voltaire had me sing Goodnight Demonslayer with him in Tennessee.

Another was Cruxshadows. Good times.

Melt Banana. Amazing energy.

Kiss and Aerosmith - Good classic epic concert type thing

ACDC - The Cannons... nuff said

Local punk show a couple days ago - Decent energy. Good music. Drunk people getting naked in the streets. Puppies and pet rats.

The by far WORST show I've ever been to was MSI. Worst piece of shit I've ever seen. Two songs in and I got fed up, ordered an Irish Carbomb, walked down the street, and played pool at the local punk bar. Fuck MSI. The only decent thing about it is that I didn't have to pay for it.

I use to like them for some reasons but I realize thatMSI puts on the worst performance I have yet to see. >:{
