Literature Please come visit. People get upset, write poetry about it, and post it here. Sometimes we also talk about books. |

I'm reading an Dorling Kindersley book about Albrecht Durer. Plus I've got a pretty big stack of magazines about various artists to read on the side.

Just finished The Complete Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales. It was research for something I'm trying to write and it didn't help nearly as much as I thought it would.

I just finished reading "The Cell" by Stephen King, who is one of my most favourite writers... this book is AWESOME and I recommend it to anyone who likes horror/science fiction books or Stephen King in general!

I remember reading that a while back, and then doing a Book Report on it for school and the teacher didn't believe i'd read it and that I'd actually written the report myself...
Hmm, I just finished
This Boy's Life by Tobias Wolff for school, not the best or worst, much better than the last 2 texts which were The White Earth by Andrew McGahan and Far From Heaven which was directed by someone I can't remember.

You must be joking. I'm into all types of "literature" so I think that's highly inappropriate.

Almost all kinds. I'm into romance/crime/mystery/epics/etc.
Before I was reading The Twilight Series I was reading "The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown. Before that, "The Blood of Flowers" by Anita Amirrezvani. And before THAT, "The Devil's Code" by John Sandford and so on and so on.
Can you suggest something? To be honest, I really want to go beyond and read something that is out of this world. Something I will be able to read over and over again.

Thanks Methadrine. You so are right. I know I'm going to be thrown off by the old English though but I should give it a try.

It's not Old English, it's Early Modern English. It's relatively easy to get, and most collections will have a glossary of confusing terms.
