Lillith you need to calm your tone down, threats will not be tolerated on these boards nomatter the provocation for there is no just excuse for such a thing. But overall just calm down, perhaps try to make it less personal. In a regular debate if you let it get to personal people won't listen because they see you're comming from a biased opinion and that it would be a waste of time to try to convince you otherwise, not to the inevitable problems that will arise. There can be a personal stake in it, but don't make it seem like it's a life or death thing like you just did when you made that threat(unless of course it is a life or death situation).

Feel free to ignore that last post if you wish it's just a little philisophical train of thought combined with experience from my debate class last semester.

Yeah, well tell her to quit provoking me and then maybe I'll be nice to her, but only if she's nice to me. If she's not nice, then you can forget me being nice to her because I will not tolerate being provoked like that.

You're dumb, and you're going to get schooled.

No one's asking you to be nice because we're worried about fragile Miss Molly, we're asking you to be nice so you don't get your ass completely humiliated and then go on a shitty thread spree.

You know Lillith, while you may think you were emo, you were obviously not a member of the "emo movement". Cutting doesn't make you emo, wearing black doesn't make you emo, sulking doesn't make you emo. Emo people do not hide what they are (which is slightly pathetic). They flaunt their self-pity and depression as though it were going out of style (even though neither have ever been in style). They make their own lives hell rather than allowing themselves to be happy. Most emo people are average teens who need attention and choose to do so by acting like babies and creating unnecessary problems for themselves. While you may believe you were a member of this "movement", you were not from the simple stand-point that you claim not to have told or revealed your inner pain. Now that it has been determined you were not emo as a personal attack, don't take the insults members of G-Net throw at emo people and please lighten up.

WILL EVERYONE PLEASE STOP PRETENDING THAT THEY INVENTED THE EMO SUBCULTURE? OBVIOUSLY NONE OF YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT EMO IS BECAUSE NOBODY KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT EMO IS ANYMORE, IT'S A GROWING MOVEMENT. IN CLAIMING TO KNOW WHAT EMO IS, YOU MAKE YOURSELF LOOK DUMB.

Fucktards.

I never said that they wore black, did I?
I take their insults to heart becasue I've got friends who are what you would call "Emo".
A real emo doesn't flaunt their pain, because that's attention seeking. I only know about my friends being like this because I've seen therir scars. They trust me to not tell anyone that they know.
Most "Emo's" now flaunt their pain because they want attention. They're not real. They're wannabes.
I'm clinically depressed. I tend not to tell people who know me that I'm clincally depressed in fear of persecution.
Schooled, huh? How many times have I heard that threat I wonder.....
How many times has it never happened I wonder.....

Lilith, I refuse to take you seriously on your little rant about "yall don't know what emo is!" when you are just talking about them and depression; not their music; not even their attitude.
You're pretty much more in touch with the emo stereotype than what we as a forum call emo.

Well, trying to define a subculture in general is a rather difficult thing. To define it means you limit it and there will always be people to defy the limits. Also, all subcultures grow, even though we don't notice them, it's life. As for what emo "music" is... Emotive Hardcore, hardcore music that had a large focus on emotions. Note: Depression is an emotion, so are joy, anger, and longing. So if one was to call ones self, "emo" they by definition would have to have changing emotions, or they're not really emotional, they would be static. It would be like saying many shades of black. There is one shade of black, anything lighter is gray.

HAHAHAHA PERSECUTION THAT'S REALLY FUNNY!!!!
How many times have I heard the "clinically depressed" plea from immature know-it -alls such as yourself. The answer is COUNTLESS! So please, to save yourself the humiliation in modern day society, SHUT THE HELL UP.
And scars? A PAPERCUT leaves a scar, and that is probably what your "real emo" friends do to themselves. And why? Because they're pathetically trying to gain pity.

*claps* great job on making emo look worse Lillith.

If you want better result, try to be more mature about everything instead of going nut and swears and call people names. Also usually if you say "you won't/don't understand" then you usually look bad in everyone else eyes. You won't get any point across by acting like Chris Crock and make it sound like the subject is more complex than rocket science.

So for now, I'd say silence is your best friend until you learn to get your point across to others in more proper manner.

On the news they said that all emo people are gay and that it's part of their subculture.

Ya'll don't understand, do you?
My mate, Joanne, she's got multiple scars on her wrists. Yet she's what you'd call "Emo".
Notice the "" thingies.
She dresses "Emo".
She listens to "Emo" music.
And heartofflames, I get persecuted for dressing in black. I get persecuted for being a witch. I get persecuted for the fact that I went out with a girl and I don't want people in Dundee to persecute me for being clinically depressed.

And you are persecuting your friend for looking the look and not being emo. Why not help the poor girl to either get it right or stop cutting? Some fucking friend you are, I'd rather wear a peanut butter thong and walk upon a pack of dingoes.

That's the kinkiest thing I've heard all fucking year, please do this, just for me.

Oh and the news is right, ALL emos ARE gay, I converted each and every one of them and now control the emo subculture as part of my cock riding army.

Lilith, if people persecute you that much then wouldn't another thing to persecute you on be fine? What's a little more icing on the cake going to do?

You really think that I havn't tried to help her already?
Fucksake. I'm not that low.
I tired to get her to talk to the school doctor about it, but she refused to go and threatened that if I told anyone she knew about what she was doing, she wuld never talk to me again.
Also, my Grandparents told me to not get involved, that she would tell someone in her own time. I argued that she could kill herself at anytime.
I get so frustrated at her because she refuses to talk about her problems, even to me!
I'm really worried about her.
So don't go throwing accusations around before you know what's fucking going on.
And where the fuck am I persecuting her?
All I said as that you lot would call her emo because she dresses like it and listens to the music.

Push me over the edge, that's what it'll fucking do.
Hello? I'm clincally depressed! If I forget tob take my medication and someone decides to torment me, I'm screwed! Luckily I have my Gran to remind me, but as soon as I move out I've got to remind myself each day before I go out.
Have you been persecuted for what you are before? Cuz if you have, then you'll know that it's fucking hard to ignore them.

Not really hard to ignore, I've been persecuted for being homosexual, a "goth" even though I am not, I've had bottles thrown at me and screams of emo for wearing all black. Self growth to overcome adversity is a wonderful thing, and you and I don't need to grow that much, a legless african-american moving into a white pride town, now that is a testament to overcoming adversity

You're only screwed because you allow yourself to be, so what if you're depressed and tormented a little, it is because you obviously take no steps beyond pill popping to remove the over dramatization of the torment that it presents the possibility of screw-dom for you.

ie. Spine > Medication

I have to take the medication or I could end up attempting to kill myself again.
And for a kid my age it's hard to ignore, especially after I had been getting bullied by some girl older than me for 13 years of my life. 13 years of hitting and kicking and hardly being able to walk because I was covered in bruises. 13 years of torment. 13 goddamned years of wishing that it would just stop. That's how I ended up almost killing myself. I was so sick fed up of being bullied for no reason whatsoever. Then after that's finally over, I change myself and I start getting persecuted for that. I get yelled at in the street of Dundee because I wear black. When people found out that I had a girlfriend, they followed me home and broke my bedroom window with a brick. When people found out that I was a witch, all sorts of stuff got thrown at me when I went to school. Countless people yelled at me "Burn the fucking Witch!".
Do you know how scared I was?
I've finally found peace after almost 16 years of Hell and I am not about to give people another reason to persecute me.
So no. I've finally found peace and I will not tell people about the fact that I'm Clinically Depressed.
