Hahahah
The police are on their way over. Domestic disturbance. Matter of time really, this should be interesting. I've got my mohawk up. I hope the cop was a kid in the 1980's.

A domestic disturbance for what? They still arn't there after a half an hour? What kind of lazy police force takes a half an hour to get to one house?

Well, simply put it is as such:
Me, my mom, my dad, my birth mother Suzi, and I went to my fiance's house. We got back at nine o'clock. Then we wanted to go to the movies, just me, my mom, and Suzi. My dad thought it was too late to go out. Mind you, I'm 18, and I have no school and no work until noon. We are not his children and went out. He came back and unleashed a verbal abusing that paramounts any he's ever dished out before. I had had enough over all of this and told him he was being incredibly disrespectful to her and I yelled like I never have before. He called the cops, and they've never shown up.

Are you sure he did? He could just be bluffing to scare you into submission.

I just talked to an LAPD officer, I'm sure. They told us to sleep it off.

Parents are more willing to hand over the situation these days to the police leaving feelings of resentment for years, rather than try to solve the problem themselves earning the respect of their child.

Haha he called the police because he thought they would agree with him. He thought the same of our family therapist. He agreed with us so my dad stopped our sessions with him.

Sounds like he will finally start figuring out that he no longer welds power over you. That's why I started using persuasion with my kids when they were teenagers. You can't order kids around forever. The sooner you use convincing arguments instead of force, the better off you are later when they are adults.

Yeah, we are trying to work things out. I found out why he was so mad, and I now totally understand. I don't want to continue typing about it, but needless to say, I feel really badly.

You'll be okay, man. The cops tend not to hurry to answer domestic disturbances unless there's been reports of physical assault--screaming contests just aren't enough of a threat. The best part about this is that, twenty years from now, you can use little incidents like this to help determine just what kind of hole...I mean, retirement facility to stick your dad in when he can no longer choose his living arrangements himself. =D
