Rock and Roll Movies?

What are some rock and roll movies, fiction or non-fiction that you know of?

I know of two: Velvet Goldmine and Hedwig And The Angry Inch

What are some others?

Rock and roll? Well, you've got "A Blackboard Jungle", which was a main reason for the popularization of the genres in the first place, if you mean real rock and roll. For some curious reason I also start thinking about "Dead Man", a really odd film starring Johnny Depp. I have no idea why I'm associating it with this topic however... *thinks* possibly because the music was done by Neil Young. Uh... apart from that, there's a film from Woodstock... yes, I know, not rock and roll in it's original meaning, but you weren't very specific on that point either. :/ "Jailhouse Rock" with Elvis Presley is probably the only silver screen appearance he ever made that was actually sort of good - it's got a few legendary scenes in it as well that are worth seeing. Oh, and talking about mr. Depp - in his early years he made a rock and roll flick called "Crybaby". It's not very good, though, and I can't really recommend it. That's all I can think of for now, but I might come back and post something later.

Does 'Rockstar' count? It's a pretty cool movie. 'Almost Famous'... Or am I not getting what you mean by 'rock and roll movies'?

American Graffiti? If you mean the whole 50's Rock and Roll experience that is. Haven't heard of the films you mentioned.
