What par of VA are you in? It has been over 90* quite regularly here (although thankfully it has only been in the 80*s for the past week or so) not to mention the sucky air quality from the fire in NC

I'm about an hour away from Roanoke. The smoke didn't really stick around here for too long.

Lucky, it will roll into Newport News every few days and stick around for eight or nine hours

So I sucumbbed to the heat hear in NC and baught some dark grey camo cargo shorts. I have been wearing them lounging around the house, but I still wear my jeans and army boots when I go out. I haven't worn shorts in so long that I feel naked in them.

i'm not a big fan of velvets and leathers anyway, so thankfully i have a reprieve from that torture. however, new orleans is extremely hot and humid, so summer's still difficult to get through. it also lasts much longer than other places- almost nine months out of the twelve.

i usually find shade anywhere i can and stay indoors. or become nocturnal. the latter has been my strategy so far.
