In Utah they actually have a name for that, it's called fry sauce.

In the Netherlands they eat pommes frites like that too, usually with the addition of chopped up onions on top. Yummy. Anyway... random fact... uh....
Oh, I'm a vegan, but worked at McDonalds for quite a while. The job was shit, but my sympathic co- workers made it tolerable. Now I can't enter the place without feeling nauseaous (because of the smell), so I refuse to enter it, and usually wait outside if my friends insist on getting their food there.
