Fashion DIY tips and gratuitous plugs. And hair. Hair! Flow it, show it. Wait...no. That's some hippie musical. Nevermind. |

At home tats are a really bad idea, they have a super high rate of infection and tend to come out looking like shit

At present, I have none, but there is a tattoo I have been wanting to get for 2+ years -- a cross of two Amy Brown faerie paintings, and I want it placed between my shoulder blades on my back [it would go down to about my mid-back]. The meaning behind it is the gothic ideology of finding beauty in darkness.
I hate being poor.

i, unfortunately, come sans pictures because my camera's been stolen. i can still describe my one tattoo, though: it's a quote from dante's inferno in black script: through me the way into the suffering city, between my hipbones. i got it a year ago and it still looks marvelous.

Looking at all those wonderful tattoos just makes me more impatient about getting mine.
I decided that I want mine on the back of my neck instead. Thankfully I'm completely certain on the design.

It is Man in the Maze, from the Anasazi culture in the desert southwest.

So I'm hopefully getting my tattoo done at the end of the week or next week and I'm looking for a place to get it. Is there anything I should be looking for when it comes to deciding where to go? (aside from being licensed and having proper hygiene)

I've got tats planned, shame they cost about ten grand. I want two celtic shields, one on each shoulderblade, with celtic knotwork extending from them all the way down to my wrists, except on one bicep I want a celtic raven, and the other a celtic owl, with one celtic snake wrapped around each forearm. Yes, I love celtic designs.
