Don't forget the spikes and studs. Put some spikes on the shoulder of the trench coat, some studs or spikes around the end of the sleeves on the trench coat and just do random patterns with spikes on the leather jacket.

I like hoodies, their comfy and warm. If someone dislikes them, then thats their own personal preference.

I can't find a nice used black or dark blue one that fits me. I'm too short and thin.

I'm going to clear up the assumption that tspikes and studs just thrown on. They aren't. My jacket is still in the planning stages, mostly due to lack of materials at the moment, and everyone I've talked to has spent hours and hours making sure every spike and stud is appropriately placed, spaced, and secure. They may look random, but most of the time they really aren't. If you just randomly slammed a bunch of studs on a jacket without a plan it would look like shit.

As to hoodies, rip off the sleeves. Vest kick ass, and look a lot better.

If you are really short and thin, check out woman's jackets. The tapered fit might look much better on you, and they might have something more your size. Check out yer local goodwill.

As for yer hoodie... Put studs along the edge of the hood, like where the pull string is. It looks pretty cool. Other than that, fun designs on them I guess.

As a matter of fact, some of my pants are womens. They fit me properly when the men's pants do not. I think I am a size 10?

I have a tendency to rip off the tight parts around the wrists of my hoodies and then split the sleeves about 1/2 a foot up the seam so it is kinda like a "flowly" sleeve.

My boyfriend likes to wear a hoodie under his leather jacket, it looks soo nice :] But other than that I don't really know what I would do to sweeten up a guys hoodie, I'm to used to being a girl, lol. If it is plain and zips up the middle you could add cyber-ish stripe detailing. I could post a doodle of this idea if you can sew and you'd like to try it :]

Make a Mohawk on the hoodie with spikes or studs. I saw one that was cool in that design.

I wear a hoodie under a blazer sometimes, if it gets cold enough. Looks fine to me. Then again it's true how hoodies make you look fatter than you really are.

I wear a hoodie under my studded denim jacket when it actually gets cold enough. I put a Cheap Sex patch studded to the hood (a patch I got AT THE CONCERT, front row the whole time, what a great gig)

I bleached the end of the sleeves, added patched, and painted.

It looks pretty ballin'.

Hoodies are perfectly fine - they are more for a casual style, albeit, but they can be very nice...
maybe add some patches... i would screen print it with something cool, but i don't think screenprinting is for everyone - it's messy and all...
i like the whole fabric paint and fishnets idea...
