Being put under for an operation.

I just had artoscopic surgery on my knee today. From repeated injuries to it, they had to go in and remove a bunch of torn and crushed cartilage. It is the weirdest thing being put under. You have all sorts of bizzare dreams and no matter how long your under it always seems like you've only been out for like 1 minute. I woke up shivering my nads off freezing cold and it felt like someone had sawed my knee off. But 1 shot of Diladid, a shot of demoral, and a percocet for the road made things a HELL of alot better in fact I felt great until the shit wore off, then it was back to excruciating pain. On top of the knee surgery I had them do the shoulder surgery at the same time. So as soon as my medicine wears off I'm in severe agony. Thank god they gave me 50 percocets to go! I just can't stop fucking myself up between the skating and Freestyle bmx. This is about my 20th trip to the hospital in 20 years.
And me and my friends just started building a 8 foot by 20 foot half pipe on my property. I think I just might hire a live in medic when it's finished, LOL.
Well back to my percocets and playstation. (Dave Mirra BMX)

An epideral is the best. Numbs you from the waist down, can't feel nothing. It's really funny to try and walk after you've had one. You think you can feel them and walk, but you slump on the ground when you try to stand. Just one of the weird things in life when you have a kid.

I once got Vikaden...or Vikoden, or however you spell it. I also had a Super Nintendo at the same time...That was freaking awesome.

lucky cow!! i was talked out of an epidural whilst in labour by both my mother and ex-partner........BIG MISTAKE.
by the time they realised the pethadine and gas were not working on me it was too late i was unconcious and my son was coming out.
the midwife (horrible 7 ft giant wth bad teeth) kept slapping me and my mother kept yelling at me to push, took twice as long as i kept passing out from pain.
natural child birth = not a pleasant expeirance.

even morphine wears off on me easily, i seem to be painkiller resistant, i need just about a whole box of panadol just for a bloody headache.
and lets not even talk about my root canal...agony...i felt everything!

I had an epidural with both kids, but with my first, before they gave me the epideral, they gave me some junk in the IV that made me feel drunk. I could still feel the shit, I just couldn't react to it. Epideral are the best.

sorry you're hurting.

I had an epidural with my daughter's birth, but I guess it wasn't done right. I still felt it, and I walked out of the delivery room to my hospital room. It did block most of the really bad pain, though.
