Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Excellent choice, I love that song !!!.
Black Sabbath `Heaven And Hell`
Ronnie James Dio`s vocals on this album were amazing and also added another dimension of melody to Blacks Sabbaths music !!!.

A question for beowolf... I haven't listened to black sabbath, but i have quite a few of their albums, which ones do you recommend me to listen to?

Hi Geo,
I would say compilations such as `The Best of Black Sabbath` would be a good start for all the Ozzy era stuff (1969 -1978) and `Black Sabbath: The Dio Years` !!!.
Also check out `Live Evil` as that is the classic live album from the Dio years and Ronnie James Dio sounds amazing and his versions of the older songs are awesome !!!.
Enjoy !!!.

Turns out i have 18 albums for them... Which is shocking,.. Ehm

But i couldn't find Live Evil
Listening now to N.I.B
Their music isn't bad but i still dislike ozzy's voice... Like sliding on razors then falling in a tub full of cologne... Ouch
Hehe
Thanks beo!!
Yay!! We're music buddies!! Lol

Geo,
If you click on the link for `Live Evil` on my post you should find the info on the album there, or have a look on Amazon.com for it !!!.
Which Black Sabbath singer do you prefer Ozzy or Ronnie James Dio ?
Listening to ...
Celtic Frost `Rex Irae`
Classic Celtic Frost, `Rex Irae` was one of the first experiments with adding symphonic elements to metal in a song (intros aside) back in 1987, which was very ahead of its time, and was considered very `Avant Gard` and some of the metal press (Metal Forces) didnt know quite know what to do with it !!!.
But this song in particular is so powerful and sounds so dynamic and still stands up today as Celtic Frosts music have been a huge influence that can be heard in the music of many of the bands that we love today that have symphonic, orchestral, and operatic elements to their music !!!.

Beo, i clicked the link... I saw the info, it has some tracks from albums i have, but other than that i can't do anything, Like looking for music online or buying stuff
I haven't listened to the other guy yet... Heard a couple of tracks and turned the computer off
I didn't know that the Iron Man's (the movie) track is actually one of Black Sabbath's songs... I felt stupid when i heard it
And thanks for the info... You know, my knowledge in the metal field is limited because it's considered as something not good here, and black and death metal are banned... So metalheads are the "underground" here...
Thank god there's Wikipedia... and good people like you!!
