I can't pick just one favorite, that's for sure. Do horror comedies count too?
Inside
Event Horizon
May
Gingersnaps series
28 days later
Cabin Fever
Silent Hill
House of 1,000 Corpses
Dead Alive
Evil Dead series
Army of Darkness
The Shining
Murder Party
The Cave
30 Days of Night
Infection
umm, like I said...sorry, I can't pick just one.

I love Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I have the 2003 and 2006 versions, the two originals that were made in the 70's, as well as one that was made in 1990 something (I think it was 1992).

So very many.
But anything with Vincent Price really floats my boat.
Nightmare on elm street, and the shining
And I find silent black and white films to be the creepiest, like dr.caligaris cabinet.

Eh...I'm not a horror movie person.
Especially when it's like Texas Chainsaw whatever.
(Which my brother absolutely loves...)
Just a gore fest.
But I don't mind when there's something deeper than that involved.
I'll go with Hannibal Rising, for now.
First thing that popped into my head.

I watch horror movies for the lulz, so my favourites are, among others
- Killer Clowns from Outer Space (no kidding! I have never laughed so much ever)
- The Evil Dead (unforgettable. LOL.)
- Night of the Living Dead (well, I must admit I was a bit scared by this one. But it was mostly a psychological thing - you know it's coming, then te suspense, and then suddenly the beastie goes peek-a-boo; always makes me yelp.)
- The Ring (japanese version). Nope, was not scared. But I did laugh a lot. And some moments were actually beautiful; like when she goes down nto that well.
- A Nightmare on Elm Street. "Here's Freddie..." Hehehe. And it just got progressively more hilarious as the sequels started popping up.
On a more serious note, these movies I liked because they were good.
- Carrie. More of a thriller, really, but an utterly amazing movie all the same.
- The Hand That Rocks The Cradle - wow, great acting. And the story is fascinating.
- Nosferatu - I mean, how can you not like Nosferatu? I especially love the expressionist look in this movie. Oh yeah, Nosferatu for the win.

I like Phone, Wishing Stairs, A Tale of Two Sisters, Voice Letter, and a lot of other Korean horror.
Oh, I actually thought White Noise was pretty scary.

I feel like such a n00b for saying this, but the Saw movies were nicely constructed in my opinion, even if I have only seen parts of the first two.

I thought the first two were outstanding. I'd certainly put them on the top of my list.
If anyone else considers Eraserhead horror I'd have to say Eraserhead. If not, I'm going to have to go with 28 Days Later. Everything about that film was awesome, from the camera angles, to the acting, to the general concept and "message."
