Appropriate

This time I need gloves, like this:

http://www.chinesewholesaler.com/06d...-grove-010.jpg

Just in white.
With an appropriate picture XD
I found some, but if my dad sees the girl who's wearing them, he'll never buy them.

Instead of saying so and using words with negative connotations like 'ridiculously', when I didn't ask, how about being polite about it and explaining it too me. That's a lot more helpful.

I think you'd just cut off the feet of cheap fishnet stockings, if you need the elastic to keep it on, cut them longer, and roll the bottom up with the elastic inside it, then sew the end together. Let me know if that made any sense.... I've never done gloves myself, but meh.

Lol. It made sense to me.
However, I could have done that XD
The thing is, I want the 'square' look of the holes.
It's different and it fits my outfit theme.

They sell them with those holes, you might have to shop around though, but I know I've seen them.

I'm sure you could find those gloves at Hot Topic or Spencer's Gifts. I think I've even seen them at Claire's. Just hit up a mall and you're sure to find them.

Thanks Portrait, and you're right about looking, small town and such.

Claire's?
Seriously?
Wow. Thanks.

I'll try there...
I refuse to shop in Hot Topic. Lol.

Yeah, since Claire's is aimed toward pop-loving teenage girls, and it's super cool to look like a rebel/punk/whatever.

Hot Topic isn't bad in moderation. They've got some decent band tees. As long as you don't claim to be the gothiest goth in gothville for shopping there it's fine.

Thank God for Avril Lavigne then.

I know it isn't bad. They have great stuff.
But this is one of those 'making a statement' deals for me that I'm doing.
I refuse to shop at Hot Topic because a lot of the people who shop their have the idea that they are so 'goth' for shopping at Hot Topic. It's my way of saying "Hey, I don't shop at Hot Topic and look at me.."
I don't care where my gear is from (Unless it's from Hot Topic)
I even have a shirt from Aeropostle. I got it as a present, but I still wear it because I like it.

Sorry to jump off topic, but it really does piss me off when someone makes a comment like "Those are ridiculously easy to DIY..." either help out or don't, being an asshole doesn't amuse or help anyone.

I completely agree, especially when those things can be found for around $5 so it isn't even like someone is spending a ton on something.

As for places to buy them Claire's and similar stores are most likely your best bet if you don't want to get them online

Dude... for real, those ARE easy to DIY or do something like it but better.

It's so easy, I can't really see as to why it needs to be explained how to do it.

Jesus, you'd think a goth would be at LEAST a bit crafty or artistic.

Actually, Kontan, it doesn't my point is just don't barge in without offering any help or assistance, regardless of the task acting like a completely arrogant asshole and treating people asking questions like their shit.

As I said above 'I could have done that'

And as Solumina said, it's not worth the money.
I can spend five bucks, get those and possible decorate them the way I want, because unlike those ages 16 and up, I have no source of income. It's called parents and left over money from other things.

And if you've ready other threads, I am somewhat 'artsy' and 'creative'.
Maybe not as much as you appear to be or think you are,
but I'm sorry I don't have the time to do everything myself.

Anyway.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I checked the Claire's website and it's a no, but they have a lot more stuff in the stores.
I haven't been to the mall in forever, so I'm looking forward to it XD[
I might stud the bottom and around the fingers, maybe even attach a ring.

I was completely on the defensive.
Apology accepted?

Instead of trying to find an "appropriate" picture, why not show him the one you found, but remind your father that not only is the girl in the picture not you, but you don't necessarily fall victim to advertising and dress exactly like the model because she's in pictures.

I considered that, but as open as he is to things, he can also be very stubborn.
I'll try, though it would be seriously awkward.
Thanks Ophelia.

Oh Mitsy, really, it wasn't meant as an arrogant comment at all. I was really just trying to say that it's easy, and might be cheaper, to make them yourself; you could do as PoS said and make them out of stockings, or, if you want to make sure they'll last for a few years, you could crochet them or something. Gods, everything I say seems to turn out the wrong way lately.
