Should I get bangs?
I really want to get short bangs in the front, kind of like Bettie Page. Above the eyebrows. My bangs are grown out, and are the same length as the rest of my hair. I'm not sure how I'd look with them.
Opinions?
I can't post links or attachments, so just check out my profile picture.
If that doesn't help, go to photobucket and look up my username, Velvetpill22.
I'm the one with the darker hair in the pictures. It will probably be obvious who I am.
Thanks.

I think you should. You're pretty, but I wouldn't do Bettie page, I'd do side bangs, but that's just my opinion.
You could pull of Bettie, but I think it only works with a solid hair color, or a natural and unnatural color together, not two naturals.

Yeah I was going to dye it all black and get rid of that blonde stripe.
I bleached it about a month ago so I could put pink in it, but it didn't really work.
But yeah, I would have it all one solid color if I did decide to do it.
Deciding is the problem though.

Yes you should. Bangs would look great on you.
By the way, you are gorgeous. I love your profile picture.

I agree with Mitsy. If you get bangs you should go for the side bangs. You look really good without them though

I'm not so sure that the fringe look will really work for you, I would recomend side bangs instead

Hmmm.. alright.
I don't think side bangs would fit me well either. I might just keep my hair the way it is if the fringe won't work.
And thank you for the compliments

I hope it works out for you, whatever style you choose.

You know, if you're a bit techie- savvy you might want to try manipulating a photo of yourself and try out a few hairstyles you like on it - it's pretty much like donning a wig, only cheaper. Find a few online photos of people wearing hairstyles that you like (nevermind the haicolour - that's easily changed with the software), edit out the people themselves and layer the hairstyle atop of your picture (making sure the background of the edited picture is transparent, else you won't see anything). For a free and safe image manipulation program, try the Gimp (I think it's located at gimp.org, although I can't say for certain).

Here's a tip if you aren't totally sure. Get some fake hair at Sally's Beauty Supply, the cheap black stuff will work just fine and a cheap headband. Glue or tape some hair on the headband and cut them in the shape of the bangs you want, viola, fake bangs to test it and see if you like the look if you are having a hard time visualizing. Personally I think it would look great on you, and if you don't end up loving them as much as you thought they'll always grow out

I've tried that! haha
It was still really hard to visualize it even when it was right in front of me. I just couldn't really picture myself with it, but I like the hairstyle itself, and I want to make it work for me.
But I don't think it will haha. I might just give up on that thought.
Who knows though, maybe if I just do it, I might love it.
