Oooh that's cool, probably a bit expensive for its purpose I'm assuming.

Well (I didn't have the volume up I just watched until I could get a look at the thing) how much do you have to pay to download the books?
Because my last trip to the bookstore I got 4 or 5 and it cost $73 and one of the books was damaged, so I could see the thing paying itself off if one is an avid reader and the books aren't too expensive.

Well Twilight is 9.89 XD. But lets take a book that we will actually read.
Paradise Lost, for example. The price on my copy is 9.95 US, on Sony Ebooks its.....1.99! It depends on the book, classics seem to be really cheap. Its good for me since its going by the american pricing, even though the Canadian dollar is strong now most bookstores still charge by the Canadian pricing rather than the American

9.89 on eBooks or in stores? o_O Ah, sounds like it would pay for itself eventually.
Still a little steep for me because it has to be paid all in one chunk...

I know. I'll see if anyone I know owns one and try it out, I'm a bit iffy on it but hey if it saves me money on books, saves me space and saves trees, I'll look into it ^_^
Edit: sorry, its 9.89 on the ebook store. I have no idea how much it is in bookstores but I guarantee you in canada its at least 14 dollars.

It sucks, a lot of books here go for twenty to thirty dollars in store. I once saw a copy of the Heart Sutra (its a Buddhist holy book), it was fifty dollars! That thing is a page long by itself, and public domain so you can read it online! The only reason the book was bigger than ONE page was all the commentary on it *grumble grumble*.
But my local comic book store goes by the american pricing, they still got my business ^_^

The book here is about 17 dollars but well in Norway everything is always way more expansive then in other country ( though dunno if that applies to books as well). the only one that costs more is Breakign Down btu well it just came out.

When I first saw the Twilight poster I wanted to see the movie right away! I didn't know the movie was from a book. The movie looks good though. The book sounds bad by some peoples on here. I will check the book out none the less.

I honestly liked the book, I don't find it a gothic book but i find interesting her way to see vampires that is in my opinion more "real" then in other stories. I also wanted to see the movie but the actors don't seem that good and they definetly choosed the wrong guy for the part of Edward but i guess i will check it out anyway when it comes out.

Twilight is subpar literature.
Don't draw out a simple fact.

I have never read twilight, and I don't plan to, but it does look like a piece of shit. And I'm 12 and my favorite author is Salinger.

I seen the movie...Just wanted to see what all the hype was about. Lucky for me, my mom works at a movie theater and it was free. It was one of the most horrid movies I ever seen. On the same level as "Sweet Insanity" (but at least crappy horror movies have a comedic value to them). I'm glad I never heard of the book series until the movie came out. Kinda wish I would have watched "Bolt" instead that night.

My friends all saw it and warned me how horrible it was, so I didn't have to waste my money

Why would anyone in their right mind not want an abortion?

Being the cheapo I am, I downloaded the first thee twilight books. I ended up reading the first two. Biggest waste of my life, that was.
I think it says a lot when girls like the book, given that the book only sells insecure girls, false idealism's of romance.
And those girls with "Team Edward" shirts? I just want to tell them firstyly, he's a FICTIONAL CHARACTER, and secondly, even if he was real he's just compensating.

You need to get a life and stop posting inane sewage that isn't productive to the conversation at hand.
P.S. Twighlight does indeed suck. It's going to get worse, there are going to fanboy/girls dressing up like the actors, just like the Harry Potter hype a while back. But then again, It's like that with every massively popular Film or Book.

So, I actually read the book. My opinion of it can be summed up in one tiny two-lettered word...
Eh.
On the other hand, it did make me happy... I now know that if that can get not only published, but become a best seller, I have an excellent chance of getting something published myself. Though I'm not sure if I'd want to subject the world to any more sub-standard "literature."
