I still haven't heard from someone who watched that movie and WASN'T genuinely frightened by it.

I actually paid attention to all of Taxi Driver last night. It's actually an ok movie. Nothing too deep. But for what it's about it's pretty good.
The last movie I went to the theaters to see was Eagle Eye. It was actually pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised because from the previews I was sure it was going to be another mindless action flick. But it makes you think, so it's worth the $12. There's a lot of interesting technology in it. Wonder if it's based on present technology.

In theaters: The Dark Knight.
I watched my DVD of The Fearless Vampire Killers last night though. Absolutely love it.

I had a movie marathon last night.
1) Little Shop of Horrors: Very funny, very fucked up, and a lot of fun. Gotta love the man eating plant! "Feed me, Seymour!"
2) The Messengers: It was alright now that I think back on it, but not great by any means. I wasn't impressed with the CGI for the ghosts in the least; the story also moved along very slowly after the beginning. I will admit that the way the ghosts moved along the ceiling was creepy, as was the ghost child. Ugh, creepy kids always freak me out.
3) Jane Eyre: There are several versions, but this one had Anna Paquin as a youngin. She was by far the best little Jane I've seen in the Jane Eyre movies. It also starred Joan Plowright, who I'll never see without thinking about her in the role of Mrs Wilson in Dennis the Menace. It was a fairly good version, though it changed the time line around a bit. I suppose it had to be done for times sake. Overall, pretty good.

I saw Next for the first time the other day
I loved how he dodged the bullets and all, but the story wasn't appealing much.
I asked a friend to buy me some movies... Some classical that i must have (Dark City, Pitch Black...)
And some new ones like The House Bunny... Hopefully i'll get a good laugh out of it

Tropic Thunder
Absolute shite. The funniest moment of the whole thing was Robert Downey Jr. saying "Fuck you!" with perfect timing.
When that is the highlight of a comedy, your shit is in trouble.
There were three fake adverts that started off the film, the first was a genuinely funny spoof of action movies.
The next was fart jokes.
The next was gay jokes.
Fart jokes and gay jokes had prevalence in Tropic Thunder, as did mocking the mentally impaired.
The film wasn't funny. It was unsettlingly unfunny, it made me uncomfortable to think that these people affiliated themselves with the film.
3/10.

Haruka: Beyond the Stream of Time 2
Wasn't as good as the anime and manga, but it was alright. Subbing was crappy though.

One of the guys in my house got us to watch Akira last night, I hadn't seen it before. At the end I just kept thinking of the Southpark episode.
