As per the sticky posting rules, here is my intro:
My name is Jerry and I am an old time club goer from Los Angeles. I am almost 4 decades old.
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
Hobbies are already posted in my profile. But they include photography, target practice, music, web surfing, research, collection of militaria, a strong case of yellow fever, and fetish art. My job is that of an interrogator for the U.S. military. This will not be for long as I am retiring shortly (yes, I am old).
2. Where are you from?
I currently reside in Los Angeles, CA.
3. Who is your favorite author?
It used to be Anne Rice (just kidding). I actually like Tom Robbins. I detest Tom Clancy, but Like Andy McNabb.
4. What are your favorite films?
Uhm... I like some Pedro Almodovar films, and I enjoy a good thriller. I do not like horror movies, particularly the ones with the gratuitous blood and gore for blood and gore's sakes. I also like movies that have a beginning, a climax and an ending. If the movie relies to much on special effects or to much hype/media (like the Dark Knight), the I will probably not like it.
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
I am never getting married again.
6. At your funeral?
Dead Can Dance would be nice. Really.
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
I prefer to die of an overdose of some sort, probably in bed with some pale skinned brunette with small tits and long hair fellating me.
8. What kind of casket would you want?
Cremation is what I want.
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Currently, I enjoy wearing a camouflage pattern called Crye's Multicam. Anything will do with that pattern. I also like the classic black (LOL) and the mandatory pet store jewelry.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Being able to run naked and not get in trouble with the man!!!
11. What's your favorite band?
Right now, I enjoy Wumpscut, but some of my old time favorites are Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Joy Division, Dead Can Dance and Die Form.
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I have some college and enough military education to dominate a banana republic. Major was sociology.
13. Why did you join?
To find out what the gothic youth of today are up to. See if we share the same ideals, or have similar wants and needs.
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
I have an averaged sized penis. 6 inches is average right?
I hope this introduction was informative enough and I wish that my stay here at this gothic board is a worthwhile venture. I love intelligent conversations, and detest knee jerk assholes who just answer to be "antisocial".
Cheers,
Uncle Jerry

We have similar taste in music, but I have a decade over you in terms of age.
I'm a grandfather.
Welcome.

I like you. =) Welcome. I think you might just find out that the young goth generation today is just as insane as its metaphorical ancestors.

Thanks for the kind replies everybody. I think that I will have some fun in this here board. You know the saying: "the year does not matter, but the mileage". I hope that we can communicate freely and maturely. I have seen some people here that scare the crap out of me due to their pure hatred and posturing. I will try to be civil... LOL.
Smooch!!!
Uncle Jerry
and to Geoluhread: Shlonek Habibi!!! (if you are in Jordan that is LOL).

Wow Minyaliel,
You were not kidding about the insane portion of your reply. I have tried to have a civilized discourse with some people, but there is nothing but hatred and contempt in some of their replies.
Maybe these people are in the wrong group. They thought this was a forum for the Visigoths, not the goth community (^_^).
Love ya!!!
Jerry

I don't really like McNab, though I did used to read a lot of military accounts and some fiction (especially Dale Brown). Multicam is cool, Cyre's stuff is expensive though.
Welcome

Thank you for your warm welcome Nexus-6.
Raptor, I must agree that Andy is not the best writer, and there seems to be plenty of controversy about his account of B20.
But I will put him in the same level as Commander Richard Marcinko: fluffy reading on a bus trip somewhere, or while you wait and ride on a plane to somewhere. I will never consider their writings as masterpieces, but more of a modern pulp.
I have never read Dale Brown, but thank you for introducing his name to me. I must check his work out. I have also read gazillion books on military accounts, particularly SOF and SPECWAR.
Thanks for your welcome,
Jerry.
P.S.: MC pattern is ridiculously expensive, but retards like me who buy everything, will eventually drop the price down. Besides, there is a super duper rumor that the US Army will change to it by 2012. That will bring the price down pronto!!!

Fair enough, I watched a documentary of some guy following the B20 route right after I read it. One of the two is talking a lot of crap
Dale Brown is good if you like air force stories, though there's sometimes a bit about ground forces included. He was in the Air Force, but all his writing is fiction. Most of it is about slightly future ish technology in aircraft, so I'm not sure if that appeals to you if you prefer real accounts and SOF.
The US really has a thing with changing camo patterns...
