I am so sick of my dad trying to control everything and always having to be right.
He bullies everyone.
If something doesn't go his way, he's gets mad.
If he gets mad, we basically have to walk on eggshells so we don't annoy him more.
You can't be loud when you're having fun.
The only time the house is at peace, is when he's happy.

Would it be so hard to lighten up a bit?

It could possibly be because of the financial crisis at the moment. A lot of people are getting overtly stressed and tense because of it. Just cut your old man some slack for a bit, I mean after all he does provide for you and such...

I know that my dad provides for me and I'm thankful for that.
The thing is, he's been like that for a long as I can remember. Financial crisis or not.
What really annoys me is when he gets angry, it's like there's a storm cloud over everyone's head.

My dad is exactly the same, and his has always been because of money and providing for the family, as well as wanting us all to do well etc, and then his dad died and hes been depressed ever since which makes him worse. We just let him get on with it, and word things carefully when we speak to him. Out of me and my brothers, and my kids, only 1 of my daughters is close to my dad. He's a different person with her.

I suggest you stay out of his way when he's angry, and learn how to read into the tone in his voice or his actions so you steer clear in advance.

Some people are just mean assholes. i have an uncle like that. Autumn, best thing to do is just tiptoe upon those eggshells until you can get the hell out of there.

Yes well, some people behave like sphincters on legs. There's not much you can do about it. Except get to them on a personal level and take them down a notch or two, thus becoming the sphincter yourself. So it's not to be recommended.

I hate my schools exam schedule. They feel that it is important for us to have all of our exams in one week, not really that big of a deal in and of itself, though most other schools seem to have a week and a half to two weeks for their exams, but on top of that they feel that it is necessary for us to have a break in the middle of the week so we have no exams on Wednesday, most people just party on Tuesday and then sleep in on Wednesday so it really isn't a big help and it causes the exam days to last from 8am to 10:30pm. I really don't function well at 8am, this is why I didn't sign up for any classes that start before 9am but yeah I have an 8am exam on Friday and tomorrow I have one that doesn't get out until 10:30pm, so I can't even just try to shift my sleep schedule to hopefully function better in the morning. *Blah*

I apologize if this post makes no sense at all

Last time I lend a dvd to someone.

And it was the only Christmas thing I have on DVD! I have Nightmare Before Christmas and Muppet Christmas Carol on VHS, but no VCR >.>
