I don't really get the chance to go very frequently but I have seen some amazing shows. I guess my favorite would have to be seeing The Phantom of the Opera at the Kennedy Center, though Miss Saigon was also quite nice, and I got to see that one from the presidents box at the Ferguson Center (the super awesome theater on campus, seriously it is far to nice for such a small, non-artsy school) so the view was spectacular.

I go to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland twice a year and I love going to see productions in San Francisco every once in a while.

I don't go much either but I have seen a couple of cool local shows. I believe in supporting the local arts.

It's one of the few things I can really enjoy in this day and age....
That said, your topic is a little broad....

I love the theatre.
I saw John Byrne's third Slab Boys play in Edinburgh before the summer. It was great.
I used to have a really amazing drama teacher who got me involved in lots of plays and drama competitions, and he said I was good at "sustaining my character", though that was mostly when I was playing a psychotic child-killer, but y'know. He died this year and most of the kids from our school turned up to his funeral and cried.

I love the theatre. It fills me with so much joy. My favourite productions I have seen are Hamlet and James and The Giant Peach.

I don't want to see any plays... well, I do. I'd rather take part in one, Romeo and Juliet, as Mercutio.

I act in my community theater and college theater. I did act in high school and I go to local plays in my area. I go to a lot.

Last time I went was to a dinner theater that does satires on famous movies. (The last one was a take on 'How The Grinch Stole Christmas'), took my girl, a friend and his little boy, who had a blast. Also go every year to the local production of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show", usually in costume. (Too much fun).

I was really into theatre in highschool, always cast in the school plays in the difficult supporting roles that no one else had the skillzz to play.
Now I miss being on stage =[

I haven't been to a show in a while. The last one was As You Like It. Before then I actually worked backstage doing props work for Anna Karenina and The Odd Couple and did sound board for Trojan Women. All of this at the Clarence Brown in Knoxville.

I was in the theatre club last year. My school's pretty big, so they put on about 9 shows a year. I was in The Crucible, as Betty. It was fun, but unfortunetly I had trouble getting along with both the Drama Teacher and the kids in it. Everyone was really snobby, and if you were any bit different (I.e. You'd rather watch some weird foriegn horror film rather than Hairspray) they treated you rather horribly. Not to mention the rumors, which even the teacher participated in.
I still go to the productions, I'm just not involved. Sadly, our school's biggest plays are *shudder* High School Musical, and the like.

I love theatre, but I don't often have time for it. The last I saw was A Midsummer Night's Dream, by the RSC at the reconstructed Globe in London. It was fabulous, but I couldn't really see that well. Damn you, standing tickets...

I love theater but I prefer musicals to plays. My favorites would have to be Rent and Wicked. I've also done a lot of backstage work with my schools.

Wicked is one of my all time favorites. I'd love to see Avenue Q one day, though. Into the Woods is another great musical. I wish I could find the soundtrack... =/

I wanna see Wicked and Avenue Q too You know I heard about the Wicked movie coming out in a few years.
The last show I saw was Grease, that was a while ago. Before that it was This Is A Play I do believe.

Wicked should not be a movie...ever!
I would love to see "Orochi" performed by Tamasaburo, well in person at least, i've seen it at least 30 times on youtube and the like.

A lot of the songs from into the woods can be found on youtube, I know it isn't the same as having the soundtrack but you can get a program to rip songs off of youtube videos and put them on a cd/mp3 player

That's a good idea.

Agreed. I'm afraid of how badly it would be ruined as a movie.
