Last movie I watched was called "City of God." It takes place on the slums of Rio De Janeiro, and is based on a true story. Although it was all in subtitles, it was a wonderful movie, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

The Producers - The first half hour was a bit redundant. "Stop singing! We get the goddamn point." Yeah, I had to get adjusted to its style.
But I laughed my ass off later. Oh the wrongness!!! I'll never look at Will Ferrell the same way. lol

I loved The Producers! *I didn't see the movie, but I saw the play in London.* It was hilarious! I've heard the movie is great, also.

That was the whole point of the movie! It wa more of a satire about racism and the old West, and some other things but I digress.....

Chronicles Of Narnia. One before that was KING KONG.
Both were so visually stunning as to make it all fantastically real.
King Kong is a MUST SEE. But ONLY on a big Screen(one of the 3 story mamajammas) It'll be nice on DVD but this movie is larger than life and there are so many subtle things that you may miss on the TV screen. Plus the storyline was superb and the emotion that is conveyed just through Kong's expressions and body language is funny, sarcastic, heroic, viscious, and beautifully sad. But beautiful is the key word.
This movie(for me) really defies description. I am not eaily impressed at all but I walked out of this movie speechless other than wow.
Narnia was beuatiful as well and emotionally moving in ways that were a bit different than kong. Don't get me wrong because I misted up in both movies but for different reasons. The CG for this one is such that you never question the talking animals or the griffins. You take them all as being as real as anything else you see.
Both of these are must sees.

The Chronicles or Narnia, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe....
AMAZING! They brought Narnia to life exquisitely... and within the first few scenes of the movie you fall in love with Lucy and begin to have a distaste for Edmond. I also (yes I'm a wuss) bawled my eyes out... (not telling why in case people haven't seen it, nor read the book)
I would definitely go see this again... in fact I may round up my girls and see if they want to do double feature Sunday for that and Harry Potter (which I also loved)..

My Grandmother,cousins and I always have a movie marathon the day after Christmas.We saw Walk the Line B+
and The Producers F-
our marathon got cut short,one year we wathched 5 movies.

The League of Gentlemen's Apocalypse.
I'm a big fan of the TV series, so it's nice to see the old characters again. Thankfully it's not too mired in continuity. The plot's clever but not at the expense of being funny.
And David Warner's the villain. And he is hilariously evil.

I just saw The Chronicles of Narnia today. I loved it! It was one of my favourite stories as a kid (I even remember trying to get into Narnia through the back of all of the closets in the house and any wardrobe I could find, because I was 8 or something and I desperately wanted it to be real...) Anyway, the effects were fantastic, the scenery was beautiful... and of course I loved the story as well. Highly recommended!

I forgot what it's called but it's the Underworld Sequel.
I wouldn't really call it a sequel...more like an upgrade on the first film.
It's okay but I wouldn't buy it on DVD.
And the latest movie I watched on TV? It was some Thai movie called
'Beautiful Boxer' after watching it, I cried all night long. It's a bout a transvestite boxer and it's absolutly brilliant. Hail foreign films!!

"Munich"
Pretty good movie. There were a few factual errors surrounding the actual events that went down at the Munich games, but it was still good. Long movie though. I didn't realize it was almost 3 hours long.
Best part of the whole film was to watch these Sayeret Matkal guys (Israeli Special Forces) just completely desimate a bunch of PLO and Black September leaders in Lebanon. Got factual information wrong on this part again (whatever, it's a movie), but for the most part it was portrayed pretty much how it went down.
All in all, great movie if you're into this kinda stuff. I'll definitely pick it up on DVD when it comes out.
