The Lorries vs. The Sisters.
Just out of burning curiosity, who does everyone think rules more: Red Lorry Yellow Lorry or The Sisters of Mercy?
My vote goes to The Lorries. They're more exciting and a little less depressing.

I still like the Sisters of Mercy it's just that the Lorries are better. I also fully expect to have the Sisters lead the poll, though.
I'm wondering this because both bands came from Leeds at around the same time (along with the March Violets), but with the popularity of The Sisters it might as well have been only them. I just want to see who thinks what. I think it's a really good compair/contrast thing.

I voted Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, just because they haven't been overplayed to the point of me being totally sick of them. Talk About the Weather got me hooked.

The Sisters win this one. I enjoy the lorries as well, but The Sisters have written so many musical behemoths.

The Lorries might have more movement, but I still prefer the drone of SoM. They do sound boring, but I like how Eldritch thinks.

I have TATW on vinyl and it's one of my favorite albums but i voted for the Sisters for the same reason Draconysius did.

Sisters for me because of the great epics they have wrote. Sure the modern metal based young goth kids wouldn`t think Sisters are very epic but I would have to disagree.
Also Epica are overrated =P.
