It will be interesting to see the list fill out more with other members.

The trouble is that most people will be assigned tiers by the self-proclaimed "top" tier (or at least part of it, to be fair), and as a result said list will be somewhere between unreliable and worthless.

The only alternative is to have a "1 through 10" poll for every individual member so that everyone has a say, but that can be quite annoying when scanning through the board.

Even less reliable and definitely more worthless. Have you not seen the amount of asskissing that goes on?

I'll man up and admit that I'm just as guilty at times of said nice guy asskissing. So no that is not a viable alternative.

The Tiers shall only remain stable through the overseeing of a stable minded group that is the basis of which the system is designed from.

Without a base there is no example to follow or learn from.

To open the selection and assignment up to open voting would corrupt the entire system through manipulation from lower intellect individuals. Whom, I might add, have no other aim than to attempt to elevate themselves higher into the system or drag others down to their sub standard level.

I shall say that I am honored to be numbered among the ranks or those seeking higher existence and am ever more diligent in my studies. The honor is even more heightened with the knowledge that I have been recognized in such a short time by the great ones.

Y'know, I like circles! They remind me of perfection and stagnation at the same time.

That is true about the ass-kissing, but there is also the "you suck" bandwagons against particular members that aren't too popular. Not to mention the members that are somewhere in the middle, neither loved nor hated.

In the end, such a system would be a lot more reliable than a system in which a few dictate the positions of everyone else.

But if you'd prefer that over my idea, so be it. Enjoy.

Don't be pert.

You gave your suggestion and I gave my opinion as to why I didn't think it would work out as well as you'd think. Or like.

Yeah... and? You make it sound as if I told you that you were wrong, and that you had to adhere to my way of seeing things or else, when, to the contrary, I basically said that if you decide to reject my idea, then you have every right to do so. It's no sweat off my back if you do.

A simple yes or no will suffice here: You mean to tell me that that little "...so be it. Enjoy." wasn't a smart ass jibe?
Circle yes or no. Nothing more. Do be honest.

Wow. You actually said something amusing. 1/1,640 amusing posts. Still terrible.

Unfortunately here is too much ambiguity when it comes to most individuals. The list has already expanded and will continue to. The definite winners and losers will continue to make themselves known.

Advice for those of you with any questions about how to move up the Tiers.

It is as simple as viewing those on a higher Tier, accepting their greatness, working towards being more like them and finally accenting these fundamentally great characteristics with unique traits of your own.

I honestly have no idea where I am placed in this system, I'm damn sure I'm not a tier 1 based on how I view the system and that I am not currently recognised as one.

Your acceptance of the existence of the Tiers places you in the second Tier.

3rd Tier are the blind, 2nd are the initiate, 1st are the movers and shakers.

I am happy that I was able to sort this out for you.

Great example. These are things that must be explored by the individual to begin progression. Constant self analysis and growth are excellent traits for the correct minded person.

Well I'm glad you did, but I think I am rather content with being a second tier, truth be told I have no aspirations to be a first tier. I'd rather seek all my life than know.

With wisdom comes much suffering and responsibility. It is certainly not for everyone and knowing your place is very important. You are exactly where you need to be and moving along superbly. You should sleep well tonight!
