Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Ozzy Osborne: Mr. Crowley.
In this song Randy Rhodes plays one of the most complex, beautiful and difficult solos of all time.

Who the fuck are Lynyrd Skynyrd? I cant stand metallica, and there are far more superior guitarists than Slash. Yes he's good, but there are better. Steve Vai, for instance.

It's hard to imagine someone not knowing about Lynyrd Skynyrd. Very easy to imagine someone not liking them...but not even know who they are? It baffles my southern mind.

I have heard the name in passing, but never heard any of their stuff, nor has anyone I know ever recommended I listen to them. However I have just listened to them on youtube. And they remind me of early GnR only better.

Skynyrd are nothing like GnR. Skynyrd are quintessential rock at its best, and GnR suck ass.

Ok then, my wording was wrong. GnR sound like Lynyrd skynyrd. From what I did listen to, LS certainly sound far more superior. Maybe GnR ripped them off for their earlier stuff. Still, I will certainly listen to more LS. Today I learnt something new, and a day learning something isnt a day wasted.

My pick would be "Cold Fields of Death" by Devastating Supremacy. Nothing complex or fast, just adds to the infectious groove of the song.
