Upcoming Dragonball movie.
Anyone else think it's gonna completely **** and destroy the series ?
Looks awful.

The way they have decided to approach making the movie makes me think that it will be god awful and destroy whatever remaining respect that may still exist for the DB and DBZ series.

It can't. The series already destroyed the series. You think they're going to make a bad movie and ruin a horrible show?

I thought the dragon ball series was cool. The Dragonball series not the GT or Z
(I guess the start of z is ok but just for old times sake like pokemon)

Although as long as the movie is not live action, it probably won't be too bad.

I enjoyed it right up to the whole 'Majin' series. That's when it got a little bit too repeditive and some of the cell saga sucked but the Trunks/Android series was one of the best anime moments for me, the moment Trunks showed up.
It will be live action and as far as I know, it's going have poor casting choices. Lemme google...

This looks bad.... Apart from Master Roshi and perhaps Bulma, they don't look the type. At all.
Notice that its going to be dragon ball the movie so hopefully they'll focus on that side of the storyline rather than make some awful cliche tale of Goku.

I agree with the sentiment that series was already bad, and it scares me how people around my age still go on about how awesome DBZ is, and how it's fights are amazing especially uncut, most of the fights are boring, and plot is just bad and repetitious.
Dragon Ball was a really fun and cute anime and where I feel the series actually ended.

Justin Chatwin from what I gathered appears to be an actor of decent acting skills who I really believe should not be involved in such a terrible film...I shudder to think what it will do to his career.
The movie is going to suck and I'm only going to see it to laugh at how bad it is. I've watched and enjoyed the anime up to the end of the Majin Buu saga where I felt it got boring but was otherwise a great form of mindless entertainment however the movie is going to suck serious dragon balls. There is no way Americans can pull of a decent live-action version of a Japanese martial-arts anime/manga series.
