Left 4 Dead??

So... I've been playing this for a couple of days now. Strangely enough, it IS zombie survival horror in the same vein as 28 days later. It's not bad...

I've beat a couple of levels here and there, but for some reason, I'm not feeling like I'm fighting zombies. I don't feel very resourceful and once you get the auto-shotgun, you're pretty much good to go.

I'm beating it, but I feel like I'm missing the point of the game. I kinda feel like I'm doing it wrong.

Other than that, it IS a decent shoot em up.

I own this game as well and love it. If you are playing this game alone I strongly urge you to play through with a friend.. online is supposed to be even better.

I think another winning aspect of this game is it's replay value. You can play through this game numerous times and due to the random spawn generator come across tons of different situations. An area in your first play through may only be moderately difficult, while going through again it's drastically different and possibly more difficult.

Definitely a fun co-op game to play at night with the lights off and the volume up.

As for the point of the game I would say survival. The only information you'll get as you go through is the stuff written down in the safe rooms. This game is definitely meant for online co-op and versus as it's strong point.

I wanted to play it up until I learned that the zombies run and there are big mutant enemies with crazy bullshit powers. I'm yet to see a zombie game where it's ONLY slow moving zombies with NO crazy powers and the ONLY way to kill them is to destroy the brain. That would probably be boring to most people, though.

Yeah, I might have to agree. I keep playing and think it'd be loads better with a friend.

Maybe I should try it on expert. I just don't feel threatened, you know?

But I'm sure it'll grow on me once I pin point what it is that actually keeps me playing anyway.

I watched a few vids of it and was immediately bored. It really seems to be an overhyped pile of shit. That empty feeling you have isn't an illusion. It's intuition.

Errrrrrrggg....

Valve is better than that, damn it.

It's usually really good at the end of the missions.

Half Life and it's sequels were fantastic. I think they dropped the ball this time.

I think they made it for Co-Op R/tards on Counterstrike. An attempt to syphon all the nerdboy co-op baby bitches away from more hardcore gamers. So they could be all ass slapping buddy buddy against mean ol zombies and stop taking up space.

It's not bad. I'm going to try it on expert. Maybe then I'll feel more threatened.

I guess what I'm getting at is that when you get pounced by a horde of these guys, say 12... you should be mother fucking DEAD. But that doesn't happen. I went through 30 solid seconds of getting wailed on by about 10 of these guys and was like, "bitch, what?"

There is a game which majorly consists of slow moving zombies, however other threats do exist such as an insane chainsaw juggling clown, cultists, some escaped convicts, and other people who have snapped since the zombie apocalypse..this game is Dead Rising. Definitely an excellent game if you're a fan of zombie flicks.

Left4Dead on the other hand is really more marketed towards the pvp aspect. The various zombie types each have certain moves that allow you to do various things. For instance grab a straggler and drag them off with your longass tongue.

It's meant to cause the zombie players online to work strategically to separate the survivors and pick them off. Which then forces the survivors to work together and cooperate in order to live.

sounds good in theory, in reality you plan against and with halfwits that wont work together. Typical thing is for them to yell and scream cause the other players are not doing what they are told cause they are pissed cause everyone is not doing what their told........insert infinity loop.

You have Left 4 dead and you didn't tell me Kontan?

YOU BASTARD. I love that game, and I freaking love zombies. What's wrong with you?

You're wasting that game by playing it by yourself. Now call me over to play it or I'll chain you up and beat you with a curtain rod!

My friend owns the game. I haven't played the game yet because it look like it would get repetitive after a while. Plus I still haven't managed to kill anyone on Call of Duty 4 live. Maybe I'll have better luck with this game.

It doesn't get too repetitive, as the levels are always different. The replay value is one of the best selling points of the game imho.

Plus in multiplayer you can play as the Zombies. It's not too much fun against computer opponents, as their AI slaughters you before you even know they're their, but it's fun as shit against humans.

Yeah. The levels themselves are always the same, but the spawn points and events are never the same. So if you lose at a certain part of a level, you can't just go back and make an educated plan on what to do to get through it next time around.

Seriously, Desp and I have tried.
