Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

My ex likes them. I think the music is quite repetitive myself, and I don't much care for the pagan themes so I think the lyrics aren't quite that good either.
They do have some weird covers though, I feel those have some entertainment value.

I thought they were pagan. Not Wiccan.
Anyway, I used to like them about five years ago and then the more I listened the more I disliked. Their lyrics were annoying to me, as they mostly discussed the same thing and I dislike religious music regardless of the religion. Plus as someone said before, it's a bit repetitive-
then again I listen to KMFDM....

No they aren't, dude.
When used all together like that, it does SUGGEST the speaker is a Wiccan, as Wiccans are more likely to borrow from different "sets" of deities, but the deities themselves aren't Wiccan.

Their official SoundClick page. Check out "Death Comes"...My favorite song ever. I think it's the best song ever made.
Oh, and I know how to play that riff from "Wytches" on a keyboard.
If you like Inkubus Sukkubus (or LOVE them, like I do) check out Vampire Division...Tony McKormack's solo project.

I'm sick to death of all of these petty little sub-genres. It's ridiculous. Soon there's going to be "Fast-food-employee-industrial-grindcore" and "Bus-conductor-rock". I find metal to be the most culpable culprit for this particular delinquency.

i know, jack, it's stupid. Which is why is still stick with what i've been saying for years when someone asks me what i like:
rock, metal, country, classical (fuck you Alan, ok? Baroque ), techno, industrial, and classic rock.
i met this guy a few years back he said he had a band. i say cool. What do you play i may come listen to y'all. His reply: Southern Death Metal Groove. ... ... Ok cool, metal. They are actually pretty damn good River Blindness \m/
Oh yeah, topic at hand. Yeah, they ok.
