This handy suggestion has been brought to you by:

Just a warp of anoyance/the mind:

It's meant to get you thinking ... but it's probably meaningless on a gothic forum.
(Then again...it seems I got an entire different view on the term Gothic)
Anywayz, like I said ... it should get you thinking, though most would seem like retorical questions. Oh well, here goes nothing and at least post a comment ^_^

So many questions ... so few answers ...
(read "people/mankind" as the majority ... every rule has an exeption, and rules are only made to be broken!)

If I'm not the first to ask these questions, how come mankind hasn't answered them yet?
How come people care more about materialstic things, like money, then about how they effect the world as a whole?
What is the use of money, when you are one of the few people trying to survive anyways?
Does no-one care about how the world or mankind evolves?
Why do most people repeat the stupidities that "run in the family"? Wouldn't You figure one would know how to raise a kid by now?
How come people think satisfaction can be gained from riches rather then creativity?
In other words: Why do people value money above increasing the value of mankind as a whole?
Why do rich people care for nothing other then gaining more (useless) riches?
Do people really think the increased temperature is only because of the harmfull "artificial evolution" of mankind?
And if so, how come people don't care when it would reduce their disillusioned comfort?
Even the Maya's knew we are dependend by the magnetic waves of the sun, like the algae are dependend on the seas, why do the leaders of this rock ignore these facts?
Are the world leaders more concerned with the "immediate needs of the people" then the survival of the human species as a whole?
Why are people always afraid of the unknown and rather destroy something then discovering it?
Why do people always follow the most known status identifiables, rather then discovering their own?
Do people really not see that if everyone wears the same, it isn't a status-symbol anymore?
A car isn't allowed faster then the speedlimit, and fashion clothes won't keep you any warmer. Why do people give so much about status-symbols?
"Man is Gods greatest creation. But who says so?" Why do people think they can manipulate everything they want without changing their environment (usually in a bad way)?

Why can't we ALL get along? (Earth and animals included).

Makes you wonder: Is humankind really the most intelligent lifeform on earth? At least the other lifeforms are balanced!!

Exclamation

Looking over some poems here ... I can't help most are read alot easier with a rhyming scheme. That and the fact my previous post didn't really sound/felt like one....

So another "warp of mind" in a rhyming scheme this time, I really like this one:

(Untitled for the time being ... prob "a Goth view" orso like that)

Today I was again denied,
not of love, but human insight,
Too simple-minded they were,
too stupid to know anything, "sir".

They thrive for riches,
But all they are, are bitches,
they sell their soul to gain status,
but all they are, are maggus (1).

Thriving on another-ones ideas,
not realsising they are fleas,
for that is that what they are,
riding another-ones back for-a-far.

Simpleminded their lives are lived,
Imagening their status will make them shift.
Fools they are for reaching out for this goal,
for emptiness is their whole. (2)

Disregarding anothers point of view,
shallowminded most of their hue.
They follow the commands of the herd,
without them, it would be better on earth.

Think for yourself while you can,
for it will make you a better man.
Don't respond to pushed-on-believes,
but think for yourself for reliefs.

Question anything with your own knowledge,
You should have learned enough at colledge.
The edge of what is true and right.
I hope this poem might give you some insight

Be conscience and true to yourself,
don't belief anything that is put onto the shelf.
Because there is only one of you,
The other will have to make due.

As long as you don't hurt another,
and do what you like without a bother.
As long as you can think of yourself,
You will be a beautifull, unique book on the shelf.

Be yourself, for as long as it may be,
For that is the only way, to truly be free.
For outcast ... or gay you may be judged,
Not realising what it is, what they have watched.

The herd is simpleminded, but "en mass",
you can't hide the feeling: "What's the fuss?"
Still: a part of society we are,
Though in ideology we are a-far.

But, don't we all like Christmass though?
With a tree ... and alot of snow?
The simplicty in this "song":
"Can't we all just get along?"

1 - (maggots, but that didn't quite rhyme)
2 - Their whole being/self-image. I hope you didn't have to look this up O.o

I tried to minimise spelling errors, but english is still my second language.
After having this "brains-storm", I kinda fell in love with it, so if you do find any ... please point them out.

I'm posting this as GNU (as far as I remember it means you may post it..BUT (big but) only if you credit me as the writer! If it isn't ... it is given permission under the "rules: I've given!

i hope no body minds me posting now but i hope you like this

Sweet Brass

She found the ring upon the ground
Which was incrusted with soil and brown;

She whipped it all off and cleaned it ‘til shine
She put it on while drinking her wine;

She got dizzy and fell, fell flat on her back
And as she hit there was a loud crack;

She lay in the dirt, the same as the ring
The blood flowed fast, it went past the sink;

Though no longer there the ring was gone
It was stolen again but not for long;

thats its short and sweet... tell me what you think ^o^

Black on Black
All I see is red
cold runs through
thoughts get deep
regret comes cheap
hurts down deep
right turn gone wrong
conscience's gone
first blood's drawn
no right no wrong
living to fight
fighting to die
no motivation
no self preservation
everyday confrontation
lost yourself
no love felt
pick up your pieces
drug and acohol releases
more pain self hate
your demon demonstrates
the things you can relate
spiral down and straight
your behind why stop now
so drink your god and bow
learn to not look back
as long as your pupils contract
life stops you dead in your tracks
because of your selfish acts
your planning your demise
with a long torturist disguise
your eyes bleed with guilt
but thats the least blood spilt

I'm trying to get back into writing poetry (haven't done it in a long time)

Crimson tears on ashen face
Where are the real ones?
Velvet lined with shaken lace
World of the green sun
One step, two step....
I seem to have more to shed
What fools who dance in mud
Scarlet puddle I have bled
Weeping away all my blood
I don't
Want to die today
.....But who am I to protest?

Thank you for the many skilled, inspired poets who have posted work here, and kudos to the rest for effort. I don't know anything about publishing, but would love to see a volume produced from some of what has been posted here. I do not usually buy new books, I get them secondhand, but I would definitely be willing to purchase something like that new. Is there any chance of getting something like that together, as gothic.net has first publishing rights? How about a yearly paperback kind of thing if nothing else?

I posted this in another thread and as promised I am posting it here too.

Closed windows, books and coffins.

There is no light in this death,
No heart to hold my hand, no vision of hope seen.
I swallowed the pain you so carefully sent,
Grieving my death before my time.
All shallow words screamed, all whispers of love hidden.
A maniacs mind has set upon me,
No substantial echoes,
Only empty memories reguritated
As a reminder to my life, my pain,
A scrapbook of missing pages.

No knowledge in this death,
No lessons learnt here, no sentimental reflections,
Only a corpse to mark my torment.
All that I own in ashes,
All that I was dismembered.
My spirit spent and wasted on the vile creatures I call my own.
Even at my death, you offer no love,
Only a coffin and a bad suit
And curses against my memory, my name,
And a gravestone that has known more love and care than I.

Your thoughts and comments are welcome.

Jules

Ok, now in a font that can be read......

The King of the Rest

Seven days and seven nights until the tower fell.
We built. And the flames rose deeper, narrower, filled with the glaze
Of my left eye. I woke, you gave me matches. Little girl grown up, not dead
But who knew? Who cared? When I read, I cried, when I loved you, you cried
“Grandma!” Heaven send me a letter, send me a sign, make this girl all mine?”

The thunder said “the burial of the dead will take place in April”
Oh what beautiful bull! As I flew, I read. As I read, I dreamed. When I
Collapsed, the stewardess screamed. And so I limped, one-eyed and
Sexless, conglomerate of Gods we threw up for breakfast,
And a question makes me a man, but still a cripple.

I once went fishing. I caught a fish. But I threw it
Back, as it was no catch. They called me a king, fit
To rule over sea and sand, but the waves disobeyed me, and
Then I lay broken, beaten, crippled and unmanned.
Welcome, my chevalier!!!! You who loved well but not wisely.

Tis a pity she’s a whore. But she never died. No one did.
And Here I rule, cripple among kings, king among
Corpses, corpse among the rest. It takes a man to know
But I left that long ago, as I drank from the cup. Gee up!!!!
On, fair steed, brave stallion of the night!!! Take me thence.

And so it goes. On and on, till we got on and on we went on
Each other. Seven days and seven nights until the tower fell.
Flames burned wetly, damply, pissing in the wind.
My throne is cold, my feet are cold, and she won’t spare a
Match for her lover, though she burned them all for the dead.

I would appreciate any thoughts or criticism.....

~friday night~

to feel your body so close
your heart beating so rapidly
you lie behind me
arms holding me tight
just breathe
just breathe baby
secure, safe
your breath on the back of my neck, sweet
your body against mine, warm
your arms around me, strong
just breathe
just breathe baby
so secure, so safe
never letting me go
just hold me

Talking Daemonflight

The angels are hiding
Your soul is soaring
You own the heavens
Your soul is roaring

Your enemy comes
The Daemon is flying
You hurtle towards him
The Daemon is dying

The power is yours
Do what you will
To love and make
Or hate and kill

The Forsaken One

Walking in the depths of the night
Hearing the crying, watching the dieing
Oh how their screams fill my lust for more

I've seen life, I cheat death
Dancing to the sweet melody of suffering,
I sleep the day, I stalk the nights

You look into my eyes, seeing my malevolent face,
Foraging for just a hint of devout

I am a repulsive sinner, fear is just a taste
I will eat out your pernicious soul
Leaving your dreams to perish into the earth

I will let you bleed out your overbearing hate towards me
I will not die, you will not descry me
I will never tempt to fade away, I lust your agony so

Iniquity reeks off my flesh-torn fangs
Wanting more, preying for more

Alone in the darkness I stalk,
Shall you stumble upon my presence, never again will you see the sun beam

Lost within their bewildered thoughts of sin,
I feed

Forsaken to reality, I continue to wonder
Forever alone I am, forever alone I stand.

Post your poetry

Well here is a thread where people can post there poetry...then the next person has to rate it using percentages....(ex. 78% well written ect., ect.,) okay so I will start....(its a bit long)

Sara had oval brown eyes, behind her bright sunglasses,
Her brown, curly hair tied back to a pony,
Refusing to let out her assets
She was a very nice girl
Who was pretty average, yet labeled uncool.
For being the president of the science club
And tutoring kids after school
She dreamt of making, the cheerleading team
Just like the most popular girls in her school.
She felt very lonely, couldn't hold back the tears
Yet nobody heard or noticed, her crying for years
This girl tried, very hard to fit in
But the kids at school did not comprehend
That it was okay to be different too
So much she wished they'd understand
Sara decided on one fine day
She'd be like the rest, and dress all the same;
She straightened out her hair
Threw out the long skirts, left her glasses behind
She now had blue eyes.
She walked in high heels, her new jeans were too tight,
Her hips swung when she walked, from the left to the right
Sara felt so uncomfortable, yet she wouldn't give up.
So she gave a smile, and showed off her makeup.
She decided to do things
That thought weren't so great
These choices she made, She'd soon start to hate
Sara would now make fun of the kids
that like her before, were different as well
Sara gave them weird looks, 'Those kids were lame'
She did not understand why she felt full of shame
And that's when her problems started to dwell
Sara was finally where, she wanted to be,
Dating the Jock, and head of cheerleading team
But the joy did not last, that wasn't Sarah's true self
Her real life did not turn out, like in her dream.
She did not understand, why she felt full of shame,
She was supposed to be happy, instead Sadder she became
She started to cry herself to bed
Without understanding, why her tears were like rivers, all over again
She felt inner guilt for the pain she was causing
and remembered how she, had been emotionally slain
Sara could not believe, who she'd turn out to be
Just like her new 'friends' her own enemy.
She could not live, with who she was now
She was caught within herself, she couldn't be free
On a lonely dark day,
a very nice girl, decided to mend
all the pain she had created
and to her life, she put an end.
"With a slit of my wrist, everything will be fine,
My problems gone, my life realigned"

okay don't be so harsh...be nice :|

Fallen' Conversion

You shine in a world of shit, standing beside that ego you claim to be yours
Laughing eagerly at the insects crawling before you, the Devil silently passes. Hanging on your every inferior thought
I have seduced you, played you....betrayed you
Who’s to know why you decline..
I suppose God stole your soul before I had the chance to lay my bloody claws upon it.
Oh my blissful obsession, why you?
My spit sizzles on your face of hope. Good for you, my tracks are now lost..
In the darkness I am left to wonder, prey amongst....forever I am lost..
Convert me, eat up this never-ending sin I ask.
Paint my darkened wings white...I will not even acknowledge to fight.
Hey, why not splash some water in my face...show me "The Way."
Overcome this shadow of ill-fated evil that has stricken me so many times.
Don't bother, the urge will always out do me
My lies are still there,
Forever forsaken......bewildered.
I crawl to Him.

Writing? Why not? Bear with me, though, please, I haven't really done poetry before. And it may sound a bit awkward with English being my third language and all, but hey...

From green to red
The clouds pass by
Waiting for a chance
To say goodbye

Bend it or break it
Fake it or make it
We fall
Like any other star

Does it speak to you in any way? Or is it just a piece of bad random poetry?

Fireflies are fading from bright to dull While the night sky is turning black as coal
Earthworms are glistening in the night and skeletons are dancing in the pale moonlight
All alone I sit and wait for you to rescue me from this hell I have created, I am the living dead..
