The longing for spray
and the slap of warm water on rounded rocks
dark splotches on driftwood
tell me I am home.
Looking up, down from this
and I cannot tell the city lights
from the star lights
Only God knows when memphis ends and
heaven begins

The poetry page has been quite bloated of late, and I get rather discouraged after reading so many pieces that don’t appeal to me, at least on a personal level. Normally I only comment on those works I find utterly odious, and those that sing to some portion of me.
I’m happy to say I will remain in character, and happy I decided to comb through this page one last time in the hopes of finding something great.
This piece is fucking great, make no mistake about that. Thanks for sharing it *big hugs* I needed a read like this :}

The poem above, The Forsaken One, I wrote at age 13. Your comments would be greatly appreciated.
Bleak Humanity
Glorious One'
Why so captious with life?
Is change the only resort?
Count thy words, justify the meaning
Fate is the only solution, my pesamistic being.
Come to me by acknowledgment, sing your tune of unsatisfaction
Just spill out the cure, we are waiting
You claim to be the only way out
Can you point us the direction?
Where can I wash my hands of villainy?
May I seek his remission?
One' of so many resolutions
I ask in favor, why am I here?
To seek the answer of humanity...or to lay down my bleak soul of false righteousness
One'
I ask once more.
Why am I still here?

Here I lie face down in sand
clawing frantically for a way out
desperation in the guise of purpose
blinded eyes shut to block out hurt
my crying voice swallowed by earth
digging a hole filled with myself
searching for a life giving breath
needing the warmth of light on my face
feeling nothing but sweat and pain
focused only on fulfilling my duty
my body is dying but still I work
nothing in front of me but dirt
and as I drown in my effort to find her
I realize she was with me all along
She was the sun on my back and the air on my skin
All I had to do was turn and see her

Sea of Immorality
He praises his darkest tendencies
Surpassing the wombs he has caused
My love.
I am beckoned by your touch of fate
I shall kiss your lips of iniquity,
tasting the molding apathy
Break free, my love.
I will not keep you
Fly past the glistening chimes, land your favor in my palm
My Paris.
Your air of mystery is eternal
Lay down in my sea of sympathy,
I am waiting love.
Let my tear drops wash away the immorality,
I will drink your pain....and salvage it for myself
Cry in my will, I will grant it's departure.
Swim away with me, we'll drown in ignorance
Nothing else matters anymore
Only you love

i know this thread should die, but...i want to play!...this was written a long time ago...
an Angel's dance
as i close my eyes
tonight i
feel
your whisper's gentle touch
across
my outstretched soul
tis only but a brush
i know
but to feel
the warmth
of your eyes
is to see
the sparkle of your soul
and i know
somewhere
Happiness lingers
in the distance
and to see
your smile once more
is to see
an Angel dance
upon Heaven's floor.
-------
now...everybody say "awww"...

Black Jordan
Black Jordan has a rotten soul
Just remains of what the devil stole
In all the shadows she is creeping
Enjoying all the childrens weeping
Black Jordan is a long dead elf
She only cares about herself
She loves to watch young people die
And no matter how hard you try
One fine night, out of the blue
Black Jordan is gonna get too you
I wrote that over 2 years ago....did a drawing of Black Jordan too
But I don't have a scanner so...

I'm fucking up my life, like I fucked you
Loving you a little, a lot or just not
Now I'm my victim, there's nothing I can do
My mind just obeys it's own evil plot
I'd like to be happy, nice and kind
Kinda like you were before
To my faults I want to be blind
But my own misery I too much adore
Do you remember before we first met
Before all those bad things were done
Laughing, not knowing what we would get
Even back then I was the sad one

*sigh* Every time you post, Rose, I end up needing a new pair of pants.

Beautiful Stranger
With such intoxicating eyes, my heart lifts then soars away to a whimsical, illusional, impaling journey of love.
You glow in radiant beauty, setting my fantasies abroad
I watch your exhilarating smile beam across the open
Oh how I cannot endure this any longer, my silent mystery....
Your voice sweeps me off my feet and throws me into a world of confusion.
Your air of mystery leaves me paralyzed.....you pass by.....no motion
Oh beautiful Stranger, steal my only wish
Convert these foreign thoughts into reality....oh how I cannot breathe anymore illusions
Take me away with you my Paris, enchant this empty soul with your melodic laughter
Oh beautiful Stranger, your unjust enchantment is profound.
Leave me any longer for which I will lay in eternal vain.

Vengeance
Blooming tragedies, concealed in a stone
A tear falls from time, dripping coldly
I swore I was invisible, but now I must be known,
I will saunter sullenly to your thrown
A particle of light, reflects from your depravity,
Massacring my pain, it beams more intensity
I cry in a soft wisper,
Your clamorous roar envades my only ounce of tranquility
My blood streams through your walls of vengeance,
trapped between the everlasting remorse
You beckon a smile of victory,
I lay helplessly in vain
Your vengeance has won me unwillingly,
These tight doors are locked by this tortuous apathy.
Demonic they are,
My ropes will turn to shackles, my felicity will turn to dust.
Once again.
I will be lost.

True Love's Third Kiss
There's nothing more human than finding True Love,
and there's nothing more precious than True Love kisses.
But it's not all fantasy no matter how hard we try,
True Love is awkward and frightning at times.
True Loves first kiss is the hardest of kisses,
where everything is possible and nothing is written.
This kiss starts lovers on the path of discovery,
with unsatisfied wants and desires for each other.
True Love's second kiss brings lovers closer,
though each still holding just a touch of fear.
Searching one other for the answers to life,
while cautiously holding back a bit of themselves.
True Love's third kiss is the best kiss of all,
with lips no longer timid and restrained.
This kiss makes souls move Heaven and Earth,
while bodies lock in unstoppable passion.
True Love's every kiss from the first to the last,
is more precious than life and all of the Heavens.
But it's True Loves third kiss that binds together,
making all kisses after jealous of its power.
Sometimes these kisses are lost and forgotten,
because lovers live in an difficult world.
Always remember no matter how hard its been,
We were True Love's lovers and the third kiss was ours.

This is an old poem.
True Love
my true love exists
this i know
i've seen her
with her skin
so soft
i insist
i can kiss
everyday
her beauty enthralls
my mind
and mesmerizes
my soul
her curves
they fall
i wish to touch
with all pleasure
though her soul speaks
to me in volumes
of other loves
she is my true love
that i seek
to call my own
to love forever
i know my love
and my mind is set
to have her
and her luscious power
i saw my love-
my true love-
in the form
of a sixty-seven Corvette.
----------
Silly, i know.
Manimal, this was not a jab at your piece. i've been looking to post this one for a little while now.

Tekajo, you are brilliant. That was the most beautiful, materialistic poem I've ever read.

This is slightly an old poem. I wrote it at 12-years-old.
Corpses
Rotting Flesh, vulture eating mess
Stacked upon each.....a mountain of death
World of pain, going insane
This ghastly odor, I can't sustain
A river of blood, a stream of sorrow
Lost memories, left to perish.
Nothing left, only dust to cherish.
A tree of names. stones of long lasting shame
Miles of cancer eating soil., trails a thousand tears
Never ending cries of misery, a million stones of mystery.

Beautiful Being
Shall you stand alone, I escape you're presents
You capture my existence, then burn it to dust
Ignorance is your gift, in return I give obsession
Oh beautiful being, why must you torment me so?
My blasphemous God, I praise your presence
I cannot live with out the sweet tainted touch of your miserable soul
How I cry in such exhilaration, you're eyes shine in loathing humiliation
Forget these thoughts, how they cannot change a thing
Forgive me, but I cannot withstand such intelligence
I shall kiss you're feet in such admiration
Vain.

its alright - I don't claim to be a poet. I never did. I just thought I'd give it a try since the feelings are there.

The night that I, she bagan to let cry
these feelings of lost, these feelings I hide
my heart shunned a beat, unspeakable loving
she must not have seen, the other car coming
I looked past uncertainty, to but see only her
and the next thing I know, the world is a blur
I awoke to a body, unnable to stand
I felt at my grasp, a distilled and faint hand
and we fell that night, with serenity at heart
and now to this day, we've never been apart...
-spartan-
it's ok to dislike this--but it came from the heart

That was…surprisingly good. E_P_S’s soulful lamentings and skillful, poetic artistry seems to have bled into your machinations…and this piece reminds me of her, le’sigh. So brightly red, so tragically invigorating, and I bow to you for the crafting of it.
Verily, you have tapped that great emotive vein, filled your chalice with its mortal poison, drank deeply, and proffer forth the anguish which doth consume, and appease the collected audience’s attention…and I tip my hat to you, sir.
