I wonder if you said you're into chains and black and duct tape because your avatar has those or did you choose your avatar because it has all your interests rolled into one? I'm just curious.

I'll bet you also like bands such as Nightwish, Within Temptation, HIM, and Cradle of Filth. If you read at all, you prefer books by the likes of Anne Rice and Stephanie Meyer. And you enjoy mindless pornographic slasher films like Hostel and the Saw series.
Am I wrong?

yea its entertaining, however them being judgimental gets annoying and its a bit hypocritical considering they are ridiculed for being diifferent and goth. they cant say someones not goth, when they dont even have a set defintion for what goth is. alot of times they have these long conversations about things before they decide that it is correct. but yea were on the same boat girly.

Agreed. But, just tough it out. You just have to let it go. If you let everything everyone says get to you, you'll be a complete mess in the end. Laugh it off.

We're not ridiculed.
If you're being ridiculed then you're doing something wrong.

I don't think you're being ridiculed for being different...
Rather, for having atrocious spelling and grammar and completely failing at the personal you're trying to pull off. The point that these lovely people are trying to make is thus:
You are almost exactly like most new members we get. You last a couple of days, a couple of weeks at most, and then you leave. Your music tastes are the same, your personality is the same, your nonexistent literary tastes are the same, your clothes are the same, your tired insults and imperious attitude are the same...get my point?
Consider our insults (which, fortunately, are much more creative than yours, and rarely get old) to be a right of passage of sorts. You have failed. We are more intelligent than you. Perhaps, if you watched the news a bit and employed spellcheck, you might fit in. But not now.

Really? I'm not. But I look pretty normal most of the time. You may think it boring, but I have my job and general presentation to consider.
Besides, there are ways to express yourself without dressing ostentatiously.

Actually, we do. It's a lot simpler than you think it is.
You never answered me, do I have your aesthetic tastes down pat?

Can you not answer a simple question?

"Ostentatiously". I love that word.
I really can't stand the constant lack of capital letters after a full stop. Or the lower case "i" where it should be a capital. I'm not suggesting that I don't make mistakes or that typo's don't happen but come on . . Really? At least I try. What is failing here? Parents? Education systems? Or is it just that there really are that many people who can't be bothered?
It used to be really favourable and important to be able to write well.

Why bother proving that, of all things? Anyone can "survive" a few insults and verbal bashings from a bunch of people they don't know, and will probably never meet, in a situation where the confrontation isn't even face to face...
So really, if you're only staying to prove that point, why bother.
Once you've proved it, then what?

You survived an insult from a stranger on the internet? Wow, you're a true inspiration. Have you ever considered setting up a support group, that you may pass on your dubious wisdom to other tough-ass people who refuse to be beaten down by the many hardships life has to offer?
