What is so great about it to really appreciate? It's a fucking television. But I guess you just really want to see Spongebob looking THAT much sharper, eh?

PS3 has:
Folklore
Disgaea 3
Little Big Planet

as of right now (soon FF13) whereas Xbox 360 has

Lost Odyssey (yay for atypical jrpg XP )
Fable 2
Enchanted Arms (seriously whacky crazy fun)
Blue Dragon (cute and fun)
Kameo (it was part of the system release and it was fun )

These are just the ones I had access to, if I was in America you could add Tales of Vesperia and Star Ocean 4 to the 360 list... and Valkyria Chronicles if that was for the 360 like I remember.

Some things are absolutely breathtaking, like BBC's Planet Earth, and I would love to see Baraka on Blu-Ray, though I wouldn't really be willing to fork the money out for it.

[Quote-Tam Li Hua]Augh. Nintendo's Wii sucks worse than a 360. :/ I don't have a euphamism bad enough to describe how I feel about that situation, but this pretty much sums it up. [/quote]

While the graphics aren't as great the Wii is pretty inventive, has a lot of fun and original games and while both the PS3 and Xbox have fun games I'm willing to say that Rock Band aside the Wii is usually the console of the party. And it doesn't have red rings of death. And doesn't take a million years to install a game. And you don't have to call Microsoft when things go wrong. Fucking Microsoft customer support. Not to mention that Nintendo things tend to last forever, I still have my SNES and Gameboy Color.

I'd have to say though that my favourite console right now is the DS.

Well, everyone in my house disagrees. My husband, a life-time, hardcore gamer, has never noticed a white line on any PS3 games.

It might be possible that there's something wrong with your TV or something.

Yes. Yes I do. As well as several movies that look wonderful on it. Also, blu-ray is going to be replacing DVD in the near future, so my hubby's ahead of the game. =)

As for Spongebob, you of course know that it is my mission in life to convert everyone to the Church of the Krusty Krab. That's why I only mentioned it once in my entire Gnet history, and that was several weeks ago.

Get over it. Seriously.

XBOX 360 -

Fable 2
Halo 3
Halo Wars
Gears of War
Eternal Sonata
Infinite Undiscovery
Mass Effect
Left 4 Dead

Even Bioshock was available for the 360 10 months before the PS3

And your family isn't the only one in the decision of which console is better. According to the world though the general consensus is that the 360 doesn't suck...

And as far as Nintendo sucking? Seriously? Then why's it kicking the shit out of the other 2?

http://news.vgchartz.com/news.php?id=3364

I'll quote one of the comments as well..

"Not only are there 31 games for Nintendo systems on there,, almost ALL of them are published by Nintendo.

Publisher totals:

Nintendo: 30
Take Two: 6
Microsoft: 4
Square Enix: 3
EA: 2
Sony: 2
Sega: 1
Konami: 1
Activision: 1"

Not to mention..

There's only 1 PS3 title on the list.

Nah, you've mentioned Spongebob on more than one occasion. I would prove it to you, but I'm far too lazy and I don't care enough. Maybe I'll go watch some TV or something.

I can't believe I forgot Eternal Sonata, while not exclusive to 360 anymore (plus Ps3 having two more characters which isn't really needed) it was fantastic.

PS3 - MGS4, Killzone 2, God Of War 3, umm...thats about it.

XBOX360 - Left 4 Dead, Blue Dragon, Dead Rising, Fable II, Lost Odyssey, Gears Of War 2, Saints Row, Halo 3, and then there are all the new games coming out I can't wait for like Dead Rising 2, Blue Dragon 2, Ghostbusters, and the list goes on...

Here is a full list of exclusives for both...

It was okay. I found the game concept a little odd, but the design of the game was beautiful.

If you get 1080 resolution you will see a difference, 780 isn't much better than regular analog TV, but the biggest difference is the motion correction, Panasonic and Sony have this feature and I swear it makes the view very real looking, no blur even in high speed motion like watching someone snowboarding or throwing a football. Forget Samsung (I call them "Samsuck"), not only is the screen crappy but they don't last more than 30 days and then Samsuck won't fix them, even when you email the executives at "customer service" they ignore you or will "fix it" and then a month later it will break again. Samsung just wants to make a quick buck, they don't care about quality or customer service and it shows in the continual failures and breakdowns of their hdtv's, cell phones, video camcorders and even their ram chips. I worked for a company that had 8 percent infant mortality rate for Samsung ram chips, and that is terrible in the industry.

Don't ever waste your money on Samsuck unless you like throwing money away.

I could never get into the PS3. While the games look sharper, the 360 has a larger spread of titles. Not too mention in the coming months the 360 is going to get a slew of good games like Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age, Bioshock 2, and The Witcher. I've yet to hear of anything good coming for the PS3 yet.

I don't know about Stern, but I can personally say I've played and own every game on my list (I rented and beat a couple on Stern's list like Blue Dragon) (And can't wait for the ones he mentioned forthcoming) (Though I'm at a bit of an advantage, I get a blazing microsoft discount not to mention half the games I own were free)

I've also played MGS4 and Killzone 2...

And if I had to choose one or the other the 360 would win hands down.

Noir - Bioshock 2 releases for both consoles and the PC at the same time.

The Witcher is a PC title, but is also being ported to PS3 and XBOX 360 under the title "The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf."

"Dragon Age: Origins" (the full title). Is on PS3, XBOX 360 and PC as well.

Really, if you want to try and help defend our point, please try not to make a horribly contradicting post that completely kills your point.

Please... don't try to "help" our arguments again.. Unless you do the research and know what you're talking about...

I have played all of those games, and more. I didn't list the titles I like that are available on both platforms, nor did I even touch on the DLC for all those titles and some originals I have as well.

I dunno about PS3 and how their online rating system works, but I have almost 9000 points on my gamertag (which means I play a decent amount of games).

I got a mate with almost 30,000 - thats pretty feckin impressive if ye ask me.

I stand corrected then. Looked into it, and you're absolutely right. So I guess there is some good stuff coming out for the system after all. My bad.

Hmm...I have to wonder how you have time to play all the games listed in both those Wiki articles, -and- hold down a job..

Most hard-core gamers, even as much as they would like to, simply don't have time to play EVERYTHING that comes out, due to time constraints of jobs and/or social lives.

Losing the argument, so attack the poster huh?

Anyway I'm pretty sure Stern meant the titles that he listed in his post, not the wiki titles. 9000 isn't exactly a social life ending amount of points.

I know multiple people who have around 20,000 gamer points and hold down a job.

And I personally know my brother puts in 40+ hours a week and he's rockin' a 7,000-ish gamer score right now, which is rapidly increasing, it shoots up about 500-750 every month on average, sometimes more, sometimes less...

(He also spends about half his time at work "playtesting" most of those games)

Tam.. maybe you just aren't using your time wisely..? As far as gaming is concerned. Some people take longer to play games, or some people play 5 games all around the same time, switching off to maintain variety (Like me) It takes me a bit longer to beat them, but I generally beat them all around the same time, in cycles.

I'm currently juggling: Halo Wars; Final Fantasy Tactics: A.2; Mass Effect; Assassin's Creed (again); Professor Layton's Curious Village; Pokemon Pearl; Left 4 Dead; and Halo 3.

I've recently finished Gears of War 2; Resident Evil 5; Portal; Star Wars: The Force Unleashed DS; Puzzle Quest; Trauma Center 2; Chibi Robo; and Fire Emblem for the Wii. (And by recently, I mean I've knocked all of those out, apart from Gears of War 2, within the past month. Gears was about a month and a half ago on hardcore mode, soon to be rolling through it on insane)

And I easily hold down a part time job (30-ish hours a week) and go to school full time. Granted I've got horrendous insomnia... which gives me 5 extra hours in my day compared to most people... it isn't hard for me at all to enjoy my gaming, hang out with friends, go to school and work all the time.

I game on the weekends. I got a kid too, so I can't play most games during the day while hes up as they are way too adult for him.

That being said on the weekends when he is running around the garden I'll clock about 4-8 hours on whatever it is I'm playing. I usually can beat a whole game in a weekend.

Lost Odyssey took me a while (six months) but Silent Hill Homecoming, Gears Of Wars 2, and Left 4 Dead I finished each in a day or two playing them 4-8 hours a day.

Right now I'm into playing Zelda: Twilight Princess on my WII.
