Nope. We are all young and beautiful, like Iggy Pop.
I'm 31, but feel out of place and old when I take my nieces to Hot Topic

but hey i get that from my mother and at 35 she had like 50% black hair and 50% white and she started to dye them ever since...

I'm 39 and know how you feel.
When did goth become irrevocably linked to Asian pornographic cartoons, Invader Zim and Pokemon? Can we just go back to the good old days when
everyone tried to be aristocratic European vampires?
I bought a Misfits tapestry at the mall a while back and when I told the juggalo kid behind the counter to get one down for me he sort of snorted in derision as if I wasn't cool enough to listen to the Misfits. I almost reached across the counter and strangled him. I felt like saying, "Not only do I have all their albums but I have them on vinyl and bought them new when they were first released."
Whenever I go to the mall I visit Hot Topic just to make fun of stuff. I would say they hate me there but their turnover rate is so high that I've never seen the same chick twice.

Alas kindred spirit
I yearn for the old days - our children dare to turn on us - but like Saturn we shall devour our children. Sorry could not resist. It is strange to see friends bare young, purchase property and drive new cars. We all grow in one direction or another, we mellow (or some do at least) but for me? A cool, foggy night - the moon full and the bat flicker there and there- sets me aflame. I love driving to my "normal" job in my newish car whilest listening to Belladonna, Aconite...A sell out - NEVER - a freak - ALWAYS - in one form or another...
What say you?

And my first pair of boots - from Bogeys - they hurt my feet, pinchd my toes and made me a man.

Was that a biker jacket ?
I once had a really cool biker jacket that aged really nicely before it got too small for me (or I got too big or tall) , and it had lots of badges on it !!!.

Yes, and I still think it sounds better than CD`s because Vinyl has a aura and presence which brings the sound to life, and you get all that beautiful sleeve artwork too (which sometimes would make you buy a second copy of that record so you could stick it on your wall) !!!.
How about Picture discs and the really amazing box sets that The Sisters Of Mercy` released !!!.
I still buy vinyl and always want more !!!.

There is no "remember" about it, some of us grew up after it was replaced by cds but still prefer the sound, not to mention it is generally cheaper.

Head shops around Newport News have tons for next to nothing, though they are just about always used but that doesn't really bother me at all.
Now music shops on the other hand are quite a bit more expensive but then again they overcharge for everything.

Vinyl is cheaper if you're buying used, playable copies. A used album around here costs about $3. A used CD will run you about $5-7. The problem is that most vinyl you see today is collectible rather than playable and thus runs you $15 and up; and once you buy it you're afraid to play it. Not to mention that the selection of playable vinyl is much lower than the selection of playable CDs.
I have a turntable and 2 crates of vinyl and I'm afraid to play any of it because it's all collectible. Earlier this year I had a co-worker and her 14 year old son at my house and I had to explain to him how a turntable worked. He'd never seen records played in real life--only on TV. That was strange. Even my 8 year old understands how records work and he doesn't live with me but with my ex who doesn't have a turntable.

Also, rarer stuff is impossibly priced. But, that's just how it is here. Shame because even though I don't have a player, I'd still buy them purely as a collector's item.

*snerk* Blech, if I got the chance to travel back, I'd rather look at the ones trying to be the next Propaganda Magazine cover androgyne. :P
...That shit actually happened, didn't it? If it did, was it at least funny in a cheesy way with stores abound?

'Scuse me, stories.

Momentomori would be a name derived from Memento Mori, which I had to look up because I forgot what it meant. It's a Latin phrase meaning "be mindful of death," and it's popular in art, or at least that's where I learned it from.

Plan 9 in Richmond, VA... Just about every single Vinyl they sell is a mere $0.99
One of my friends has never bought a CD as the only thing she does buy are Vinyls... even new albums that just come out. (Though new albums tend to be around $5.00) Definitely cheaper than CD's and lovelier sounding. I'd buy them as well but I don't have a player for it. Might get one though.

One guy at the Hot Topic in Douglasville, GA has been working there for 4-5 years. Other than that, I go in maybe once a year, and everyone else is new, and usually look as if they're 15.
