From the shadows I emerge
. What do you do? (Hobbies, job) - Writing, reading, music (unimaginative I know) photography B & W (of course), painting (oil) - guilty pleasure - Edward Gorey. My job is retail hell
2. Where are you from? I am from Chicago but I have lived all over the county. Currently live in Florida - the sun - it burns, it burns! A bit of a nomad really...
3. Who is your favorite author? - I am all over the place on this one - Mishima, Nobe, Rushdie, Virginia Woolf, Rodert Jordan Tolkien, many more then my 4 decade old mind can recall...
4. What are your favorite films? That is difficult - somedays Woody Allan Annie Hall, Manhattan, but most days anything dark, brooding and Swedish. Perenial favs would also include Rocky Horror, anything by John Waters. I miss Divine - sniff...
5. What music do you want played at your wedding? Please do not force me to recall such memories - if forced to answer however - Death and the Maiden Quartet by Schubert
6. At your funeral? The Ode to Joy - by Beethoven
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die? - On my own terms...
8. What kind of casket would you want? - A large funeral pyre
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit? Anything black (of course) and Victorian
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid? NOTHING!
11. What's your favorite band? - I shall give you thirteen - Dead Can Dance, This Mortal Coil, Bauhaus, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, Fields of Nephilim, Two Witches, Ataraxia, Cocteau Twins, Incubus Succubus, Leonard Cohen, Laurie Anderson, The Cure, The Smiths.
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major? - BA in History and Art History
13. Why did you join? - I have lurked in the shadows for years - but thought it was time to emerge out of the cover of darkness and commune with my dark brothers and sisters -
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender? Male

I was actually going to post "FINALLY!" but opted against it. I mean, it's about time we get someone new who likes Cocteau Twins and Dead Can Dance! I thought the world had forgotten about them!

Careful, there, it seems that appreciating Victorian style is liable to elicit some none-too-complimentary remarks around here. However, pay them no heed and certainly do not let such opinions interfere with your personal preferences.
On that note, welcome to the board, good sir! *hat tip*

I miss listening to the Cocteau Twins! Though I don't have a lot of their songs, my personal favorite is Alice and used to listen to it on late nights when I was back home... Now I remember... *searches Alice on youtube to play on eternal loop today*
