Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

I'll add "Hong Kong Garden", "Israel" and "Carcass". Forgot about them.

I've been burning ALL my Banshees favourites onto CDs for DJ-ing purposes, and they've already filled two discs.

What ones would you say are the best for dancing to?
I'd vote for Israel if it was sheerly for dancing to.

I love that one too but it reminds me heavily of The Creatures for some reason so I've never really defined it as a 'Banshees song.

I know its not theirs originally but Dear Prudence I love. My mouse oddly enough will only come out of her house when I sing it to her.

Cute!!!
Is this the Mouse that survived being fed to a Tarantula? That's seriously cute.

For dancing purposes I've always found Israel, Hong Kong Garden, Spellbound and Christine pretty reliable floor-fillers. I really want to play Paradise Place or Placebo Effect sometime, just so I can dance to them myself.

Haha, if you want to do something like that, play something that pumps people up like KMFDM Drug Against War or whatever right before it and then hopefully they'll still be in the groove for something like Placebo Effect.

Saya: !!!!!
That's pretty damn awesome.

Holy fuck, just realised how amazing Scarecrow is. And it's not just the lyrics about baking bones in pies.
NEW FAVOURITE.

You're only just now finding out about how epic Scarecrow is??
Only joking, Peepshow is one of the last Banshees albums that I bought.

It's weird, I've been listening to and loved Siouxsie for years, owned the full discography, but only in the last few weeks have I listened to all 15.1 hours of my Banshees material on repeat and realised how amazing so many of the non-singles are.

"Turn to Stone" is another fantastic song off of that album.

I think that "Carousel" is one of the best tracks on "Peepshow".

Definitely one of her more epic songs!
Placebo Effect really is an excellent song. I just listened to it twice, and I think it's my favorite of hers.

"Cities in the Dust" is amazing, and my first Siouxsie song, but "Little Sister" is my all-time favorite. "The Ghost in You" and "Dazzle" always try and overtake it though.

That is a hard one to answer! All of them are so awesome!
Hmm, I'd have to say: "Kiss Them for Me".

Everything that I would pick has been said a lot already. "Sea of Tranquility" and "Exterminating Angel" are two I really like that haven't been said yet.
