Woah another Kiwi-ish person.
As for me, I'm from New Zealand, where you are can't consider yourself a kiwi you can only be defined as "NZ/European". Funny, I'm fairly certain most Europeans wouldn't consider us European.

It's not that bad, but it's not great.

From the pictures I have seen NZ looks a lot like where I grew up, just with sheep instead of cows, although where I grew up is looking less and less like itself these days (which is a really long rant that I wont get into right now) so I would really love to go there and see for myself but I have heard that the plane ride is terribly long.
Now I live in Newport News, or "Bad News" which I still think is the dumbest city nickname I have ever heard, especially when about 1/3 of it is actually rather nice and safe as far as cities go, now once you get down to the numbered streets then it is a whole different story.

Corpsey, I have family in New Zealand (Christchurch), and Germany (Schwartzwald), and an aunt who is an Aleut Eskimo.
Oh, and Tam Li, I work in purgatory, so I can relate.... but I live here.

BAH! Seriously, if you manage to come here I would show you the real NZ. I've been almost everywhere imaginable in NZ so either myself or my parents could show you where to go if you want to get some quiet time in the nature or what have you. True, there is a huge amount of capital invested in Agriculture and farms, but there is a huge amount of geothermal activity in NZ and some really untouched pieces of land where hardly anyone can reach unless you go by foot or Canoe.
That is the more glorious NZ that most people miss. Cows and Sheep are somewhat more blatant but a tiny percent of a kiwi perspective.
Jaye Jang, ChristChurch is alright but the only attraction that I really know about is that they have giant pieces of art all over the place.
Like a giant sperm...

In a terrible, terrible little town.
I've lived here for three years, and still have no idea what they were thinking when they put this in.
That reminds me.
This is one of our tourist attractions.
I'm thinking it alludes to the fact that the vast majority of the population is old enough to remember when dinosaurs roamed the earth.
