Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL.

Lacrimosa

There seems verrrrrrrrry few people in my neck of the woods (Canada, to be vague) who have even heard of these guys, never mind actually LIKING them. Anyone here a fan? I need to share the damn love!!!!

Just recently got the new album and yeah, it's a pretty spectacular piece of work....in my personal opinion, of course

Lacrimosa was actually one of the first gothic bands I got to listen to about eight years ago. Back then I liked them a lot and in fact they made me look for more music in the genre. Nowadays my tastes have changed somewhat and I do not like their sound as much, but I will still listen to them on occasion.

Lol, there's a NEW Lacrimosa album? Never cared much for them myself, but I'm pretty surprised they're still active.

I have a couple Lacrimosa CD's but I haven't listened to them in quite awhile. Perhaps I should pop one in the CD player...

Lacrimosa is one of those bands I just can't seem to get into. The first song I heard of theirs was "Seele in not", which I really do still enjoy, but after listening to some of their other stuff, their music style changes sporadically over the span of a single album, leaving me a bit confused as to who or what I'm actually listening to.

I bought the "Satura" album a while ago and allowed it to stay in my record collection for a while, but when the 2009 album: "Sehnsucht" came out I was kinda hooked on them, and so I have bought almost all their albums, except for Echos which I will get in a week.
I mostly like the album "Elodia" and "sehnsucht".
