So last semester was one of the best things that have ever happened to me.

Taking a photography course those days.. Starting the summer semester in 10 days..

Depends on the language. Dutch and German could pretty much be considered one language, back when I knew a little, I stress little, I'd confuse the two. Same goes for Spanish and Italian. If you want to learn two at once, stick with two in the same decent. Germanic, Romantic, whatever.

I don't know, I think that if Duane learned one phrase or word at a time in multiple languages it might help him understand similarities and differences in the languages.

Depends on the languages, Italian+Spanish, yes. Russian+Spanish, not so much.

Fine, Russian and Polish then. Besides, everyone and his dog speaks Spanish here((it's all slang, I want to learn Castilian Spanish, the real Spanish)).

Trying to hold off a joke about how my wife speaks pole very well. I think Russian and Polish are both Slavic languages, so shouldn't be to hard to learn at the same time.

Yummy! Never had a dragonfruit. Had dragonfruit flavored things and they seem delicious.

Well mine appeared ripe judging by all pictures I could find, and the flesh was fine, but it didn't really have an actual taste. So what your dragonfruit flavoured things tasted of I really don't know O.O

I think I may be thinking of those dragonfruit flavored drinks. I can't remember the name but the flavor was fire.

My house stinks like butter and weed tonight. I've been making mull-butter for the last five hours and I'm sure I'm stoned from the vapours/fumes. I'm going to make biscuits for my brother and his mates.

Did you learn Low German or High German? Low German sounds remarkably similar to Dutch.

Dunno, started learning a little out of a book and then a couple months of German 1 in 8th before I was forced to switch schools.

Wooo! I got my florentines made, and most of them are fine and only two are burnt enough to cause me some concern and the rest of them are mostly just golden or lightly browned. They are now sitting quietly and waiting for the chocolate to set on them.

That sounds good. I had pancakes this morning. I whisk the batter so they are fluffy.

I'm in Portugal... the fact that the only thing I can think of to do right now is come on here should speak gvolumes about how the holiday's going. Missed the hot weather by 3 days, and now it's actually quite nippy outside (the UK is meanwhile experiencing a heatwave). Fuckng typical.

I lost my job- the company's shrinking, so my entire role is gone. At least they're not replacing me or something, they just can't afford extra staff.
So my job ends on Friday and I get a month's pay in lieu of notice.

I am making blood red biscuits. This is not a euphemism, I just added more food colouring than I meant to.

Had I been thinking, I'd have made small batches including red, yellow, blue, green and maybe purple so that I could take a bunch to Pride, assuming I go. Ah well.

Damn, I'm sorry...I wonder if the unemployment situation is even worse over there than here (highest it's been this side of the pond in 26 years). And is there any chance of you getting the same kind of job elsewhere or will you have to lay low and take what you can get?
