You can still be WITH someone, the one and only for years and years and still not be married.. Being married is just a paper.. That has nothing to do with the feeling.. Marriage is not a feeling, love is..

If you ask me, that's a reason to get married. It's when you've found THAT person, and you can't imagine your life without them.
So, true. I've found mine

*sighs happily* I've found that person! I'm so lucky! And I always remind him too. XD

My engagement ring cost about 200 bucks or so. It has two small hearts with our birthstones in them. And his name on side and mine on another.

100 bucks says Xnguela and Winged aren't with their respective life-long partners.

From today, I'll wait about 2 years. If 2 years from today you still feel the same, I'll mail you a hundred bucks each.

Experience soured my optimism, but it's reading in your posts my very own words that brought this up in me. Sorry for being a Cassandra to your respective relationships, but that's just my opinion.

First we mispelled shakespere the same way because I wasn't sure how tp spell it so I checked how he spelled it.

More importently i'm not realy looking for marriage .The tittle means less and less as people get divorced.I don't like the idea of kids rushing into it without knowing ,is this person someone who can't stand to live without.I'm looking for a love that can not be expressed nor concieved. The girl that makes me hole. The highlight of my day, thats what i'm looking for.The never ending serch.

Me too. Did you know that there was a time when Lapis was considered the most valuable stone on earth? Are you also a fan of ancient history or do you just like the color?

I guess your right .There was a time when it was a sierious comitment.Thats one of the reasons why I don't care to much for the tittle of marriage. Its just a tittle.I would rather have the conection. The conection that used to be conected with the tittle. The mutual conection of affection ,admeration, and love.More then just a tempuary infatuation.

Well, I... uh... was going to mention the mesopotamian devotional statues and the prominence of lapis in certain ancient texts such as The Epic of Gilgames...

But I just got helle pwned so I'd better lower my eyes and just say, "I like blue, ma'am. 's real pretty."

I've been with him three years already but...hmmm...I'll be sure eager to collect that money. Shall I hold you to that promise? And everyone is entitled to their own opinion. No offense taken.

thank you everyone who posted in my thread on this delicate subjuct.(not to mention phayte) you've all extremely helped my in this. and i'm very happy for your love xnguela, the way you speak/(type) of him; you sound happy... but she's kind of having second thoughts now (age),... but i'll wait until we are both ready...I love her more than words can describe, I can't live without her. so ill wait. I guess.. as long as she can stay loyal to me for just 1 year than we'll make it...and when you read this... (my love)...I just want you to know that your my everything...and I love you to such an extent that "god" himself crys that such a love exists...long beach is far... but the distance between us doesn't distance our love...love you monkey. (inside joke) and thanks again to all of you who helped ease my thoughts...

14- 16 year olds? I know it's legal with consent... but.... yeah. If it worked out for them, cool 0.o I'm 15 and boys still have cooties. I think I want to get married some day though, if I find the right person... and they get to know me and don't think I'm a freak.

I say whenever you feel that youre ready, and that youve thought about it more than enough go for it. I'm 17 about to turn 18 and I've found my soulmate, and I could'nt be happier. Yeah, most teenagers aren't ready at all, but its quite the opposite for me. I've had a hard ass life, and I was always being hurt by everyone I knew. So it came to a time where I was down and I was saved by my hero ~~My hunnies *Eric*~~ I now live with him and I savor every moment.. I have found the most incredible person alive hehe.. I wanted to go camping a couple weeks ago, but it stormed so of course i coudnt.. he set up a tent in our front room.. *pics to prove it* I love being able to wake up and look at him, I couldnt live without him, the mere thought brings me to tears.. You only find true love once, and I'd rather not give any other human being the chance to find out what they're missing

Yes I know there are going to be quite a few people that will read this and laugh out loud, or quietly to themselves. But if only you knew

Depending on what state you live in, spartan-117, you might have to have parental consent before you can get married. Another option, and one I recommend, is getting emancipated from the household. This may not be doable since the person in question is only 17 and by the time anything happens it'll be a moot point. However, once that magical age of 18 comes around you're both free to do what you like, legally speaking. I say ride it out, you can both get jobs and save up for your own place.

yah you can get married at age 17..but lets face if you were gonna get married at 17 your marriage isnt gonna last tht long..so why waste your time getting married tht odds are it wont last tht long..plus you only have one more year or less til you turn 18....then you can get married and have more freedom..and maybe have a better chance of staying together
