Next year I'll be attending a State College in Vermont, because I didn't get my shit together until last minute in high school. After next year I'm going to transfer, I think to either FIDM in California or FIT in New York to study Fashion Design and then to hopefully become a Costume Designer It took me forever to decide this...For a while I really wanted to do something medical/sciencey but I realized that I'm not smart enough in that particular area, lol. But wouldn't it be AWESOME if I could have done autopsies and embalm bodies?

I don't have a job right now...I'm a bum. I've done a couple of odd jobs for family friends, but my monies keep dwindling... :P And I only have 45 more days until I leave for college, so I don't know if I'll get a job at the store in my town...Hmm, I think next year I'm going to work in the library

Hurray for soon to be college poverty! Good thing my parents love me lots...

What on earth does logger do?

Self employed logger, involved in sustainable forestry, with some metal fabrication thrown in on the side. Right now, the metal work is more the full time work, due to timber market conditions. In September, I'll be going back to college for my second year toward a bachelors degree in forest resource management. It sucks paying for it now, but will be worth it later. I hope.

I'm an astrophysicist. It's quite a boring job actually, all of the excitement that I had first 5-10 yrs, has vanished....

What do you do? I considered switching to astro but haven't done so at the moment.

Categorize new-found stars, including them into the files, sometimes explore the space in search of a new star (that part I still love). I also correct books about astronomy when something changes, put stars in HR diagram, I try to explain them the best I can. Then we have black holes, and months and months of research for the discovery, then planets (Pluto R.I.P.), actually, it's like a HUUUUGEEE GIANT stack of little papers with writings on it, and the only way you can know what exactly is written on it is to pick up that little piece of paper and look under it.

What is your area of expertise?

I don't specialise in anything, I'm only half way through my masters degree. At the moment it's pure physics. I've done the units required of a joint physics and astronomy degree though.

I know some of the astro staff here work on black hole and universe structure research, and one of them was on the team that discovered ultra compact dwarf galaxies.

I'm still considering switching.

Oh, I remember that! My first three years were strictly physics! You won't be using that kind of amount of those boring theoretical facts on the job..

It's always nice to meet a colleague =)
