I agree its hypocritical to say that the people on this website may not post any messages containing explicit content. And then place banners portraying us Goth woman as sluts.
But for someone to state their honest(?) opinion, and then for you to call this person a cunt was a major No-No.
I must confess that I went to the "Whining" to make a thread complaining about the banners in question, but when i read your Posts I decided not to. Thanks for listening(?) to my opinion.

This whole incident reminds me of pointless "debate" on LSU's campus to which I replied:
1. Not everything that annoys or offends you is done so with you in mind.
2. No one can make you feel annoyed, inferior, or offended if you don't allow it.
Both of which lead to the simple, honest admonition to GET OVER IT.
And please, let's not use the "c" word; I think it's tacky, rude, sub-human.

Oh whining board, most loved are thee!
In my opinion, these banners are a far cry from offensive. I mean seriously, I worry about sites that have full-on wang shots and tits with come all over them then a wee banner with some silly writing on it.
And I mean, they are wee. Those of you complaining about others seeing them, maybe your should reduce your resolution and wear some glasses or something.
They aren’t overly-sexual either. Pretty, but not really sexual.
And I see nothing wrong in a site showing Gothic women being sluts. Hell, if I had the bod and the time, I’d prolly be doing the same.
And still to this day I don’t understand the whole “hot chicks make my self-esteem plummet’ thing.
I’m not the prettiest girl, but I think I’m a hottie no less. Other people think I’m hot, does that make another person’s self-esteem drop?
And if you are looking at those banners all the time, then you aren’t actually reading what’s being posted. Me thinks you may be a little pre-occupied with them banners.
And I’m with Edible Eye, where does this constant parade of slutty goth porn models come from and how can I get to come to MY door?
Tell you what’s annoying though:
The words “ who else gets sick of seeing those "gothic slut", "barley evil", etc., banners all the time?” and “cunt” written in words so big that the folks in the BACK of my office can read it is FUCKING annoying.

The day they're abolished is the day I do... something. I don't know what yet-- I'll work on it.
My earlier post about how to get rid of them was either deleted or never went through-- I think the former. If the admins are interested in making sure that we can't get rid of them, it strongly suggests that they find them absolutely necessary and won't part with them easily. They do bother me, though, since my father likes to check what sites I'm visiting whenever he passes by.

In the past I skipped thru this site and basically ignored it because the banners turned me off. I know it's a nessesary evil, but wouldn't it be nice to see some less tacky? Anyway, I'm glad I read this thread, because it made me decided to go ahead and reigster.

The only thing that pisses me off about them is the one with the red haired girl that says something about 'gothic decadence' above her head and a black widow on her shirt. The reason for this is that her hair looks wonky. The pointy bit on the forehead is off centre. How do you get an off centre pointy bit? If Bela could do it properly, you can too, ms gothic decadence.
