Signs of depression

Pretty Much if you are bummed more than 90 percent of the time you might be depressed. But I never touched the medications because will power could be stronger. I used to use family, music, and my guitar playing to help me feel better but as time went on none of that worked and i hit rock bottom. the medication they gave me only made it worse and thats when i actually attempted suicide. I am no looker especially in the weight department and it always makes me feel like crap.

I never really tried to commit suicide, but I was a cutter. I told myself I wasn't going to do it again but I slipped a few months ago. I've figured that its all about your strength in being able to control your emotions...but I dunno...

Fuck... I think I am depressed, I have energy to do things, but it extremely hard for me get up and do them, even if I get no joy.

You might want to check B12 levels in your blood as well.

Yes its very stupid. But if its your only outlet...then you just end up doing it. I started when I was like 13, I was to scared to let it out on my parents when they were hurting me...so I let it out on myself and the only way to do that was through pain. As I got older...it just became habit...if something hurt me emotionally whether it was my parents or boyfriend. Then I had to feel physical pain to correspond with it. Its a fucked up thing to get into. But it happens.

Absolutely... I love photography as well...but my passion is drawing and music...I play guitar and for a while it was a very good outlet. But once you've already started a habit it's hard to use those passions to fill in for the pain. Which is why when I'm depressed I cannot for the life of me play guitar or draw...
