Suddenly it occurred to me that I was being silly. It was only a bullet hole. I was still in the fight...

Take it easy Al, I think Winged might have just missed E_E's post...(unless you know otherwise)
And E_E: WTF? How about some more details, huh? And the sign on the door does not say "Thanks for playing". It says "Come back soon, we'll be waiting".
It's GOTTA be Monday....sighs....What a fucking day....Garfield's right, you know? Fuck.....

Crap.
Well, the good news is that I have a top knotch bullshit detector.
The bad news is, when you point it at Edible_Eye, you get a big reading that says "No Bullshit Detected".
You know, I haven't been here that long, but I do have to say that so far, about 50% of the stuff that made me laugh was by E_E. And you could always respect the guy for keeping his feet on the ground and putting an instant stop to any and all bullshit that he encountered here.
But, like I said, there is no BS is what a guy like E_E says. If he says he's going, he's going. I mean, what are you gonna do? Go to his house and force him to post at gunpoint? (honestly, now that I think about it, he seems like the kind of guy who would stuff the gun up your ass before he took any of that flak either.
All you can do is be happy about the things he said and that you got to know him. And hell, maybe he'll come back after a vacation. Just keep his place warm for him.
Heck, you've probably got his email too.

"dont do it"....
"dont worry ill be fine..im positive"...
"and if you die?"
"i wont...this is second nature"....
"i still disagree"...
"just watch me"
with that he raised the sword and plunged it through himself...smiling and knowing he was a god.
she stared horrified at him, unable to speak
he glared at her..."see? im immortal!"

How had so much of what existed behind that door been obliterated in so little time? It didn't make sense - but let's face it, neither do things like wading into the water, hoping to shake off the heat and exiting to find leeches firmly attached across your canvas of flesh. Sometimes, things just don't go as planned and sometimes, the things you believe are solid prove to be more maleable than you might have wanted to believe. That's life, fully unpredictable and wholly frustrating.
If he still smoked, he might have lit a cigarette while he pondered the familiar door and whether or not he should leave it closed for a while. He tilted the half-full glass to his lips instead, relishing the slight swimmy feeling it brought him. Was it the swimmy feeling talking, he wondered and shook his head. Nah. All this was just a too-long-procrastinated exit because he didn't want to admit his pleasure had been fouled. Maybe he'd try out a new door for a little while or abandon the world of corridors and doors altogether, turning instead to the dusty form of pen and paper, an adventure medium he'd not grappled with seriously for more than a year.
So many good people. People who'd helped him to laugh and cry and think.
And so many fucktards.
He turned and looked at the door from the inside, smiling when his eyes found the "Thanks For Playing" placard firmly attached to the rear. It was difficult to take that first step, walking away from something he'd not only grown used to - but actually cherished, in a way - the same way an alcoholic cherishes that first drink, or a love-starved recluse cherishes the pretty woman who never fails to say hello when they per chance cross paths while taking out the trash.
His foot lifted nevertheless and he started back toward the door he'd entered so many times before.
Yeah. He decided he'd visit the door again, most likely, at some point, somewhere down the line but for now, opening that door just wasn't doing for him what it once was. Not any longer. He raised his hand to whomever might be behind him, someone he might have grown to care about as much as the internet allowed anyway. He hoped that whomever saw it would know how he felt about him or her, one way or another - because that's what was important when all was said and done.
And with that, he exited, not looking back, closing the door firmly until a later time, should it ever come...

WTF?? No Edible you can't leave! You are one of the reasons I still check this site! I realize that we've had an influx of fucktards lately but there is still a lot good on here.
Dammit, if you are leaving I hope your mouse is possessed and makes you click on g.net and you read this and know that you'll be missed.
Come back soon hon.
This is a sad, sad, day..................

Even though I haven't been here long enough to really get to know him, edible_eye has impressed me as a very decent and caring person (as long as you are not an idiot...). I regret that I did not get to know him better, and hope that he will come back soon; either way, I know that he will only come back when he is good and ready. That most likely means that Gothic.net needs to clean up a bit.

Yeah.
I know I haven't been around long enough to know e_e as well as some of you all do, but he's been nothing but nice to me since I got here... hell, I think he was one of the first couple people to talk to me.
He better come back, that's all I have to say.

If E_E really has decided to leave g.net for a while or permanently, I'm sure he wouldn't want a string of cry babies wetting g.net.
He's not dying...
It's better to reflect on the wonderful moments that E_E has left behind.
There's no point in whinning.
I may not have been here long enough to know E_E as well as the older members of g.net, but one thing I can say from what I've sensed from E_E is that he is a great man. A man who's not afraid to express his opinions and has made me (and many others) laugh on several occassions. Anyone to have known him or is closely connected to E_E is fucking damn lucky!
E_E may be gone for now but the memories of him here at g.net will not be forgotten.

I'm speechless.
He was the best flamer of us all. He will be missed, at least by me.
