The fight started when the "Biter" continued to advance and call the victim an "Idiot" if the victim was a protester it doesn't make the assault any less harmful,true the victim struck first in his own account but only when the "Biter" got too close in an aggressive manner.

I looked up a bit more apparently the "victim" went to stand with the anti-obama's after he went to the pro-Obama's to "figure out what was going on"...of course he was probably currious what their veiws were...but the verbal fight started when he went over to the anti people first...and it continued when he left...
Even if he felt threatened by an aggressive person he could have walked back to his car and left...hitting the man first was his peoblem he chose to do it. He was assulted but because he made a poor choice.
