I FUCKING LOVE YOU BLIX!
Just measured myself. 38" (B) 36" (W) 46"(H). It seems I have lost an inch or two after all!!!!!!
Sadly I still have 18.5 inch calves from walking so much , so still no knee high boots for me :_ (

I don't like how I started this diet, so I'm going to restart next month on the first. Besides I think March might be better for a concert.

Just go round the widest bit but avoid including your arse, as that is obviously not your hips and will give you a bigger, and incorrect measurement. That's what I did anyway.

Dude, just do it. No resetting, no waiting until the first, no excuses, just do it.

Aye but the widest part includes my arse. My thighs exceed the size of my hips, and to measure that i have to measure my butt.

Don't give in to that kind of thinking, just do things right from here on out. Your diet will never be "just right" and there will always be something that should have been different but the only thing that really matters is doing the best that you can from here on out. Doing a restart is just giving up on yourself and showing a lack of commitment.

I decided that the best way for me to get fit was if it meant that getting fit improved an art form. So, I took up belly dance because I wanted to do it since I was 14. I practice 2 hours a night (it doesn't look hard, it is!) and then do sit ups, press ups etc in the morning, so I have the cardio and the toning going on. The food bit was never a problem, I'm a veggie and like to make my own meals from scratch so I know what's going in it.
So, if I don't lose weight, it's cool because I'd still have practiced improving my dancing and I'm getting fitter and fitter every day. If I do, well...cool! Either way, I can't lose! I love my chub...I'd miss it if it went a way completely. I'm actually pretty happy with my body, so I'm going to proclaim that I Love my fat-rolls XD!

I've learned that my tummy muscles are never going to be terribly toned becasue I have literally zero mobility in my spine, and therefor there are very few exercises I can do for my abs.

those are screws holding metal rods in place. THey take a peice of bone out of your hip so that new bone forms over the metal so that your spine stays streight as the metal fatigues.

Duane, Mir is right.
You're only "restarting" next month because you can't handle not eating shit for the rest of this month.
Just have some fucking self control.

Wow, major bummer. It does look pretty cool, though, haha.
So yoga would be a bad idea for you then?

Thanks, I have a killer scar from it, too haha
Actually I was talking to my friend today, and she said that I should see if I can talk to a pilates instructer... apparently pilates was origionally designed as a form of yoga for people with back problems, so that made my day. Hopefully classes aren't too expensive, because there's a gym just up the highway. Maybe I can't complain much longer

I've heard they can get pretty pricey, but I am in Southern Cali and everything is expensive here. If you can't manage a class due to prices you can always buy a DVD and do it yourself.
